No idea, but it seems clearing away is separate to cooking, currently under siege from a rustle-fest of packing things away, wrapping/unwrapping and popping cartons. 

Additionally, LL appears to be using loo next to my room as her default loo.... so lots more adjacent activity than before. 

EDIT: Ah, after 20 minutes of rustle-fest and flush-fest, LL's left the building.  Visitors still present upstairs.

What was the idiot doing that led to him not passing?

Just had a delivery (not food or loo rolls!). DPD. I put  a sign on the door saying to back away when I got to the porch.  
No not really, but just explaining. I put a stool outside for the parcel to go on. Luckily I didn't have to sign for it.......I asked him to. Then put plastic gloves on to open the box and the things went straight into the sink.

I can’t face washing them, as I did so much washing of things and hands yesterday, and I had just finished preparing veg for lunch and had washed my hands a thousand times. I’ll have to do it later, to free the sink for my organic veg delivery that’s coming tomorrow, as that’ll all need washing. Also some booze is coming, as it’s all very well giving it up entirely when life is normal, but I just want  a few hours of not minding much for a change! 😄
I’ll probably suffer for it, and it will serve me right! 🤪

I can quite see how easy it would be for people to become alcohol-dependent. I wonder if there will be an increase in that over the next few months?


Has anyone heard how GDB is doing? Did he manage to get a flight yesterday? I hope he’s not too frazzled.😕

Thats weird. I think most people unwrap take out what they want and then rewrap and put away what they don't need. 

Sounds like very poor hygiene to me to leave it all out.  Have they never seen flies or where flies like to sit?

I predict there will be a lot of blocked toilets in the next few weeks, a lot of people buying tissues and kitchen roll to use as loo paper!

I don't think that words been explained.... hence using the downstairs loo and washing hands in the sink (there's a sink in the loo I believe, under clutter).... I can't check as I never go into the kitchen.

In your own home it's OK to do that, you can wash your hands in the sink, all perfectly normal.  Your house, your rules, nobody else is affected by your choices.  When any form of sharing's going on though, especially now, it's simply gross and totally unacceptable.  Words fail me on this point... imagine if one were sharing with that .. and didn't know.

You can still buy newspapers I believe.

Well... I'm at a bit of a loose end.  You can only read the DM so many times ... and only check FB so many times (to read the same stuff repeatedly).  Then there's RM, nothing much coming to market, a few reductions on things I never wanted anyway.... no car. 

I did think about making a food inventory, but realised if I did that I'd have to touch the packet of wine gums and they'd be opened ... and, before I knew it, they'd be gone by this evening. 

I think my current sweeties stash is 6 100g bars of chocolate, 1 250g bag of chocolate misshapes, 1 pack of wine gums .... and 20 small packs of Refreshers Softies Minis, which are a child sized pack... I bought a job lot at the out of date place as they'd run out of the bulk buy bag of rocky bars.  Not really liking them.... but just opened a pack anyway as I had to get/read a pack to know what they were  

I think I've got 25 packs of crisps as the box started as 32 packs of 32.5g apiece... and I've had some.... also bought from the out of date place.
