I've got the dentist tomorrow, haven't responded to the text yet to say "OK" as I'm waiting for news of the car first...
Just checked the time and realised they'd slung in a line about "if you have travelled to or have been in contact with someone who has travelled to the Far East in the last 2 weeks we ask that you call reception".
I've no idea what's the other side of the door.... so I'm going to say "No", but feel guilty.
My GOD stir fry STINKS!!5 -
Depends what they are stirr frying it could be bits of dried bats?Found the edit button at last. That should read that what I am listening to is the Glagolitic Mass by Janacek it is so fantastic. Nothing to do with bats though.5

A bl00dy hour this morning of rustling, chopping, slicing, stir frying, stinking, more rustling. And now it just ... stinks.
Not the slightest sound of actually clearing up afterwards though, bet it looks like a tornado's been through there.
I don't go in there...5 -

Another good laugh!
I feel sorry for the bats. As well as having the virus to contend with, they then go and get eaten by bally humans!(I just lurve spiders!)

As well as having the virus to contend with, they then go and get eaten by bally humans!Ah this means my weird sense of humour is getting through the rubbish that is depression and anxiety. Just another few weeks to go until I get completely zonked up on my SSRI and omega 3 again. Then I shall be in back in "normal" business. As well as joining PN on the naughty stair I expect.Actually when I think about it there is probably a really nice overstuffed naughty stair that is nice and comfy somewhere in my parallel universe that is mine and mine alone because it is my parallel universe.5 -

PN you know that rustling paper thing is very annoying because it is just an unpleasant sound. Why people can't get everything out in one go and not lots of goes I mean you are going to have to unwrap it before you cook it unless they have got boil in the bag bats?

Once, fine, open it. After that .. more? you have more? wasn't one pack enough? It seemed endless earlier.
There was also some chopping of something in a paper bag, so I had to endure nearly 10 minutes of a hand in a paper bag, something removed, then peeled, then the hand in the paper bag again - all within that sound spectrum that it's "painful" for me.
And that's the thing, the hearing ... once alerted it's painful to hear... drives you nuts.
I'm looking on airbnb, cheapest is £1200/month (priced for the peak holiday times) ... and spareroom is £900+ for rent + bills (so nigh on £1200 again) as most are a room in a shared house.
I'll tap into RM and see what's there.

What about flying? I hate flying anywhere. I have flown to some quite far places but the noises in the aircraft. I can hear every bit of machinery working all the time. They creek, groan, rustle, bang, squeak and make rushing noises as well as the general engine noise that is loud and on top of that they don't stay level. I can see the slopes on the floor when they are not level. On approach to landing I can see a downward slope towards the front from where I am sitting. For me it is like sitting in a washing machine that is washing nuts and bolts and loose change on a slow wash.
