I entirely agree. That well known phrase "If it isn't broken .. let's break it.".
I've had loads of trouble getting the password reset, then got an error page from CloudFlare.

If I click on a post, it now takes to me the one after the last one I read.  That's only kicked in this afternoon.  I like it!  

Replying to your post with a quote was challenging.  The reply box was tiny and immovable.  Then it wasn't.   No idea.  

I think it is slowly improving though.  This was clearly no mean feat.

The badges are all weird.  I have two different styles that show the number of posts I made but one over-rules the other by 15k posts.  What's that about?  

And why don't I have a birthday cake? I want a birthday cake, even though I don't
have one for as long as I've been here.    And why do I have a sofa but others not?  

And what is a forumite?

I have the option to not show sigs at all - so it's no burden to me whatsoever

It was there all along, just it took time for the site to learn what the last posts you'd read were and record that in a cookie or two for reference next time you look. If you think about it, this is a new system so as far as it knew from switch-on the first post in any thread/board was the first post that everybody hadn't read.
It seems to work rather well - although it would be better if clicking on the "xx new" flag did that and clicking on the thread title took you to page 1 of the thread, like the old forums did.

The edit box does appear to be a bit hit and miss as to whether it opens correctly or not - if it doesn't, there is a diagonal double-arrow at the top RH corner, clicking on that will expand it and clicking again will contract it back to the correct size even if it hadn't been in the first place.
