PasturesNew said:One good thing that's come from all this is it's close to some venues for the local special people voluntary group. I finally went to a drop in they run. Been 3x now, that's going to be a regular, it's every 2 weeks. I also went out one evening to a get together of special people. And, this afternoon, there's another social/volunteer group I'll check out. It's been an eye opener meeting people "just like me" for the first time ever. I can be as odd as I like and ... it's all perfectly normal
Such a relief to be able to go out and relax/not come away feeling "I c0cked that up, they all hate me, I'll never return"...
I think, for the first time ever, I actually "look forward to" going. I've spent my life dreading going anywhere as it's usually ended in disappointment/sadness as I didn't fit in. Now I fit>

Pastures, that's brilliant. It is so lovely to hear some good news.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

That's good news Pastures. I wish there were a lot more groups like that. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker4

Went out, enjoyed it. It's every week.
There were about 15 or so, playing board games, sitting/chatting, no formal agenda, just a "turn up and hang out how you like" space.
Will go again.6 -
I see the DM is reporting London's got its first person with a case of the coronas.
They flew in 28th, so 15 days ago.
My advice: Don't go out... it's too "peopley" out there4 -

wouldn’t the world be so much nicer without people!
(Apart from a very select few, that is, Nice People accepted!)
I am wondering whether to brave the supermarket, as I have a few gaps in my freezer.
It won’t be today, though, as I felt very unwell yesterday, and the weather forecast for today is pants.
Good job I’ve been keeping my year’s supply of loo-rolls topped up!(I just lurve spiders!)

I had an appointment for the hospital in March, but yesterday got a letter to say it had been cancelled, so had to make another one for two weeks later. Pain.(I just lurve spiders!)
