Nope - last decision was they were not suitable but it is subject to appeal during which they can still operate.  Good thing is that all the hoops uber are being made to jump through for political/anti-competition reasons means that we will end up with one of the safest taxi systems in the world.

That's making sense now. Haven't used them in ages, and haven't heard anyone mention using them either.

As for transport systems, got to praise the London system. Trams, underground, rail and the buses, all free for us pensioners. Boris bikes, don't know yet if they're useful. Train services from outside the city boundary, not quite there yet. Spending a lot of my time exploring this city of about 400 "villages".

I've found the London transport system is great....if you are able bodied. If you have a wheelchair, it becomes a frustrating and nightmare experience with some pain added in.

We use Uber to cover the shortcomings of the London transport system....

As well as keeping your hands scrubbed clean, it is worth remembering to not touch your nose and mouth with your imperfectly cleaned hands.

Yes! I am a terrible face-toucher. I get itchy this, itchy that, have to brush my hair off my forehead, etc. etc. (I believe it’s a trait of ADHD to be itchy and fiddle a lot).

However, phew!, I have done my stocking-up!
I decided I had to get it done before Dennis the Meteorological Menace strikes, so I left home at 07:30, to miss traffic and people, got to W. 15mins before they opened, but got a premium parking spot close to the door, did all my stocking up, got home, unpacked, and have now flopped,with a cuppa and a custard tart and it’s still only 09:50- ish! 

However, I kept telling myself, “Don’t touch your face, don’t touch your face!” and despite hair-tickling and eye-tickling, I resisted until I had foamed my hands! It was quite a feat!

Ok, now, just to let you know, at great risk of a super-macro posh alert from Pastures,  , 
Waitrose have a new wide range of flavoured stuffed olives.

I hadn’t been in W. for a while, so it was interesting! I stocked up with various, because they are VERY GOOD FOR YOU, and the use-by date was long.

And now have 1 year and 2 months worth of loo-rolls,  , and 6 months worth of my green tea with lemon teabags.
(In my defence, Pastures, I don’t drink milk, and don’t like black tea as it gives me a headache!)

You were lucky I was out... eating out. One might refer to me as a Lady Who Lunches, except I was scrabbling up and out for the joys of an all you can eat breakfast at the Toby.  Today I tried the "rough area" one.  4 sausages, 3 fried eggs, 2 hash browns, big spoon of potato/bacon/cheese hash, breakfast Yorkshire pud & gravy (yes there is such a thing), baked beans galore... and a slice of toast/marg
