So, which of these should I go for.......
A transparent bucket with a smiling crab on it?
A full-face motorcycle helmet?
A see-through umbrella?
Which would make me look less of a prat in a hospital waiting room?5 -

Apparently, everyone with a mild fever should self-isolate - or, they might do in the next few weeks. All these buzzwords, but the devil's in the detail. The DM's word switching around too, being incoherent... changing the scope.
How'd people know they had a mild fever? If others are in the house, them too?

When I was in bed for two days last week with an URTI and feeling really grotty, I took my temperature three times a day, but it was normal every time.
You do need a thermometer, really.(I just lurve spiders!)

We are in the Med. It’s out of season, in any case, but Coronavirus has really emptied the place. The hotel has 8 floors of 16 rooms per floor. Enough space for 200. There are actually 60 soldiers staying, on a course of some sort, and half a dozen other guests.
It’s very sweet. The army sends the soldiers home at weekends, so mum can do their washing. We came here specially to visit a friend who is very ill, but unfortunately the family are (rightly) so paranoid about germs that they don’t want us to visit. We’re due to stay another week, but I don’t know whether there will be any flights home by then. If not, we will need more clothes plus a lot more sunscreen. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?6 -

Virtue-signalling alert......... in my ‘holiday suitcase’ I keep a suction-pad mini washing-line and some hand-wash soap, just in case.
I have used them once or twice.
It was great being on a longer holiday in Sri Lanka once, because I could actually afford to have a couple of hotels do some laundry for me! It was cheap enough! (2-week holiday).
Except that at the second hotel I assumed, sexistly, that it would be women doing the laundry, so was a bit shocked to find it was a man, when a week’s worth of underpants were brought to my room by him. 😱
Serves me right.
Seriously, though, would it be an idea just to come home anyway? Just in case you get “locked out”, so to speak?(I just lurve spiders!)

“ Seriously, though, would it be an idea just to come home anyway? Just in case you get “locked out”, so to speak?”I will discuss this with Management. EasyJet will charge for changing the flight, I guess. I heard a rumour that all new arrivals will have to be isolated for 14 days, regardless of where they came from. Clearly, if true, that’s not compatible with having a tourist industry.
Edit - The BBC confirms that. From Thursday, ALL arrivals will have to self isolate for 14 days. So, presumably flights in will be cancelled, and that means no flights out either.Clearly, the government here has not fully taken into account that I only brought two pairs of shorts and one bottle of sunscreen. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?4 -
Cabin crew not keen on flying to Italy currently. If you are anywhere else in Europe should be ok for a bit longer. Unsurprisingly Foreign Office advice changing regularly. Now advising against all but essential travel to anywhere in Italy.I am intrigued by how this will pan out in the USA as no centralised health system, unlike most developed nations. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
