An out of date food warehouse came onto my radar, so I wandered in ... and walked out with a box of 12 naked noodle pots, for £2. I did think "hope I like these" - and they turned out to be magnificently better than the original branded pot noodles... so much so, I bought a second box .... and then, last week, went in to see if they had other flavours and so picked up a different flavour. They're usually £1.19 a pot (OMG!!) which I'd never pay, but, under my present circumstances, they're a lovely little hot pot of food for just 16p eachGDB2222 said:You’re stronger than me, PN. I would definitely NOT be okay after eating 22 pot noodles.
  Glad I found those.
I seem to be eating one every 2-3 days at the moment. But it's nice to know they're there if I want something hot/easy.
You've heard of high maintenance women .... I'm super low maintenance.

Easily pleased.
It's also the story of how come I ended up with TEN packs of instant mash by Morries.... the warehouse were selling a box of 10 for £1.

They're usually sold at 50p/pack. https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/morrisons-instant-potato-onion-mash-1105500116 -
I used to eat stuffing when I was a student.
On its own, I mean, when I was skint.
It’s filling, and made a change from bread.(I just lurve spiders!)

I still do. It's why I've got a box here at the moment. I love stuffing. Half a pack, in a mug, stir, wait, stir, eat.Pyxis said:I used to eat stuffing when I was a student.

I think my biggest food regret and loss will be giving up my big T0by breakfasts. No point taking daft risks for a bit of hot sausage ... as the actress said to the Bishop.
I have probably already had my last one, for at least a year.5 -

Funnily enough, they do some variety of something similar, that I've never fancied. Their carvery, you can order it online. Thing is, they pick it for you... not sure if it's then delivered or you collect. I don't see why they couldn't give people a box and let them go down and fill the box themselves... if they did that I'd have tried it.Pyxis said:

It's not about people in the building, it's more about food prep chain and food hanging around issues for me. Just me being daft really. It's a very very low risk, for me to wander in there and shovel up..... but I just figure if it's not "needed", then it can be dropped for now.4 -
We have a little safe in our hotel room, which I use to store an extra towel I have managed to get hold of. If I leave it in plain sight the chambermaid will confiscate it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?6

            Illicit towel hoarding.
Hmm. Hope it’s not a capital offence.
When on holiday, I’m usually in a double room for single use. Sometimes, but not always, there are still two sets of towels. I don’t usually need to use more than one set, but if for some reason I do use one of the ‘other person’s’ towels, I feel guilty!
It’s the same, although less so, if I use the other pillow(s).
On the very rare occasion, in Britain, that two lots of biscuits are left on the tea tray, the guilt is an awful lot less!

Many years ago my older sibling visited the town where I was living, she stayed two nights in a cheap hotel. The hotel rate was about £23 for a single room and breakfast, but just £26 for a double room and two breakfasts. She booked the double room and each morning I'd drive over to the hotel and avail myself of that second breakfast, which was an AYCE buffet
Didn't feel any guilt.  99% of the time hotel's really take the Mick with pricing of single rooms, often being a broom cupboard at just £2-3/night less than a comfy/large double.                         6
