) but also have ME which I assume counts as another condition... Also have breath probs too, though they don't actually affect me much since am too knackered to exercise in any way.
When it comes to Dentist, I'm not sure yet. I have a load of work needs doing on my teeth. But not sure what to do - if tooth ache happens I'll deffo go, but not sure if it's just getting stuff fixed. I'll wait and see I guess.
I'm not overly concerned for me at the moment, amazing for me as I get eek about things but youngest is absolutely bricking it. He is in the very low risk group for age at 21 but in a very high risk group because his immune system is completely beggered (and always has been), has severe asthma, also has EDS and CFS and a mild cold has put him in hospital and intensive care more than a few times...oh and he is at university with people travelling everywhere.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.7 -
'over 70 (8% chance of death it you catch it )'
My understanding is that you are being unduly pessimistic. The 8% death rate was derived from Chinese statistics, and they only tested people with severe symptoms. Lots of people get it quite mildly and never enter the statistics. So, the 8% death rate was really just for people who turned up at hospital with pneumonia. For every one of those, there were very roughly ten others (between 5 and 20, but it’s hard to tell) who stayed at home and felt a bit poorly.
I was reading about a young Chinese man who got it quite badly. A committee of doctors had to agree that he was bad enough before they were allowed to do a blood test. I guess that was a political issue, to keep the number of reported cases down.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?6 -

I have appointments booked for two weeks from now, both with the hygienist and the dentist. Do I postpone those appointments for a month to make sure that they are not infectious? Or is it better to get infected now, whilst the NHS still has resources to treat people? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?7 -
I don't know if any of you saw the Chief Medical Officer being interviewed at the committee yesterday, but strongly recommend watching. He was very reassuring. He answered all of the questions calmly and certainly put my mind at rest. There is no doubt that this virus is going to be horrible, not least if it gets into more large concentrations of vulnerable people (care homes, cruise ships etc). However for most people will be fine.My mum is in her eighties and I'm concerned about her. However although the death rate in her category is the highest, she still has a far greater chance of recovery.I think the part that I found most interesting is that there is no test for the asymptomatic "super-spreaders". Consequently the base of the triangle is much larger than people think and this also reduces people's worst fears about the death rate. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

With my parents, the main fear would've come from them simply "thinking it's ridiculous" and poo-poohing it - and carrying on as normal. Even if they'd taken it in they'd have not translated the information into changes they should make, nor would the effects of their actions have registered. They'd have caught it through ignorance, being personally unaware. They'd listen, nod, then go off and do things as normal without a thought. I'm glad I don't have to worry about them as they'd have not "been told".
I have to go out today, on a round robin to some shops ... so have my anti-bac wipes in the car between shops and I'll take/carry my own bag round the shops most likely.6 -

Of course, those wipes might be anti-viral, but if the packet doesn’t specify that, please don’t rely on them being protective.
You’d be better off buying some super-strong Russian vodka and putting some into a little spray bottle to keep in your bag. (Plus hand-washing when you return home, of course).(I just lurve spiders!)
