I'm surprised they haven't papered the garden wall!

Means we can't have decent toilets with bidets and heated seats. Proper 19th century stuff.Patr100 said:
I believe sockets are only permitted in bathrooms if at least three metres from the bath or shower.silvercar said:
I suspect our bathrooms aren't big enough. Also, in the UK we like to hang our washing outside to dry, so want the wet clothes to be downstairs, not upstairs.robatwork said:
I've banged on about this before and will again. Why (o why) do we/our house builders think we want to wash dirty clothes where we cook and prepare food? It makes no sense. Put the machine in a bathroom where clothes are removed (or utility if you must).ProDave said:
A house that size I would expect the washing machine to be in a separate utility room to keep it's noise away from your living space.mark_cycling00 said:This is lovely! (for the south of England). And a proper video tour for a 4-bed family house.
Great views, tiny hamlet nestled in the woods... but there's a washing machine right in the middle of the kitchen. Like a washing machine kitchen island... don't get it

Also that chimney stack is way too domineering. Decor from the 1970s. Didn't like at all.
Which will exclude most bathrooms in our current (no pun intended) housing stock.
Possibly some sort of wired in connection might be possible but I don't know if the regs would allow

There are a lot of houses around my way that look exactly like that. In fact when I saw the first photo I thought it was a house that I know.pretamang said:3 bedroom detached house for sale in Central Wendover, HP22 (rightmove.co.uk)

From viewings in my area, the interior and carpet is also the sort of thing I see quite a bit of around here.0 -

Outside to rear there is a garden with lots of potential.
Well... That's one way of putting it!
Is there any potential for rescuing that old conservatory or is it potentially on its way to the skip?

Just think how pleased your new neighbours will be to welcome you to the street, if you make even half hearted attempts to sort out the garden you'll be in their good books.maas said:2 -
On one side yes. The other side looks as bad if not worse with the overgrown conifers.goldfinches said:

Another one from the 'garages are evil and must be converted' school:
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/135163913#/?channel=RES_BUY
The garage is now an annexe, as so many are these days, but one wonders what the new owners will do if they haven't a somewhat batty, single, elderly relative to shove in there. It can't be used as a self-contained flat and, I believe, would be unsuitable for a lodger. In fact, the ideal use would be parking or storage...
The annexe is no good to a conventional owner occupier as is: what's the point in having another kitchen and living room? Perhaps it might be good for a teenager who still lives at home?0 -
Took me a while to find the property on google maps - It is actually on Woolton Rd, and there is a garage/repair shop to the rear. Don't think they would care about the state of the garden.daivid said:
