Here's one from 12 years ago.

Now, why would I post this? It's interesting going through old threads here. In this case, the seller of the above house was playing silly games with the pricing.

In that thread, the street number is identified. So, 12 years later, I can see what actually happened to the house. What it sold for and when. So, onto Zoopla, where I can see that it was listed for £95,000 in February 2011, and then reduced to £64,950 in July 2011. And then the MSE thread happened.

And, what did it sell for and when? It didn't. Never sold at all since then. Zero. Zip.
That is perhaps a story of what happens when sellers play silly games.2 -
This is lovely! (for the south of England). And a proper video tour for a 4-bed family house.
Great views, tiny hamlet nestled in the woods... but there's a washing machine right in the middle of the kitchen. Like a washing machine kitchen island... don't get it

My sister has a kitchen island, though I don't remember hers having a washing machine. I must admit that I like the idea of a kitchen island, but most of the houses I've been looking at don't have them and probably don't have space for one unless I will knock down a wall to create the open plan space. I think they make a nice divider between the kitchen part and the dining room part of the open plan room. I must admit, I'm not finding the washing machine including kitchen island as unusual as you.
I like the idea of a wildlife pond. I wonder if it's allowed to have a wildlife pond as part of an allotment.
EDIT: I found a page on 50 ideas for kitchen islands, but none of them had a visible washing machine. I suspect that some had a washing machine behind a door. This one appears to have both a washer and a dryer.

I guess in this case since they put the sink in the island, that is the only part of the kitchen they connected pipes and drainage to, and then thought "oh, where can we put the washing machine"
Oh and top marks for whoever got that grand piano up those stairs.3 -
We have an island, that we are replacing with a bigger island! I wouldn't think of having a W/M under it. That island is quite low. Normally islands are the height that need bar stools, I don't see the point of an island with split heights.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The kitchen area looks like a new extension and so the pipework wasn't in that location already, so I'm thinking that maybe:
Original plan was to have the w/c sink etc. on the wall to the left. But then change of plan and decided to have patio doors on that wall so moved those to middle.
The w/c and dishwasher stick out more than the drawers. Maybe that's because they forgot that these need pipes at the rear on addition to the standard depth of the unit which matches the drawers.
I've seen that before.
The house is lovely though, it's a minor issue.
Probably fun driving 1km along that tiny lane in the ice too.0 -
