I can physically smell the inside of that house. That's been the least favourite part of my day, which has included throwing hot tea onto my own T-shirt.moneysavinghero said:A large number of hoovers for a house so dirty.

Also if you zoom in on the front of the house on Streetview there is some interesting DIY electrics (default streetview is in the wrong place, need to go to map view, zoom in and then move the pin to the road above)3 -
Heya. I have been hunting for small properties all day today. Wish me luck. I want a cheap flat in question.1

Good luck. I wish there was some way of searching on RightMove for the tiniest flat in the entire country. Which your 'small properties' aim prompted me to think about.thara1996 said:Heya. I have been hunting for small properties all day today. Wish me luck. I want a cheap flat in question.
I searched for the cheapest flat in London, and this appears to be it. It's far from tiny though.

Interesting price history. On in 2020 for £150,000, and the price has come down over the years to now be £67,000. The last price drop was from £75,000 to £67,000. Someone really wants rid of this property, except that perhaps 'modern method of auction' is not the best way to do so.
EDIT: Looking at other properties, I guess that the sudden massive price drop is because the property is now being offered for shared ownership, like say this property: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/137367848#/?channel=RES_BUY But, the first flat there doesn't mention shared ownership.1 -

That is a strange one. The outside of the house is bare concrete blocks. It does not look like they have ever been rendered and don't look that old. Is this a new (self?) build or rebuild that never got finished?
The dodgy wiring looks like a rats nest of television aerial cables.Doesn't everyone have a scope in their bedroom ?That one looks very much like the one I have sitting beside me
As for the rats nest of wiring, with three cables going in to the shed, i suspect at least one of them will be a mains cable.

"in need of some cosmetic improvements" my ar**. Needs a complete gut & renovation once all the rubbish has been cleared. Certainly not a "slap a bit of paint on and flip" property.mark_cycling00 said:I love how the heroin addict current owners created such a stylish fireplace.
Huge ice cream freezer in kitchen is a plus too

It's a retirement flat. I suspect the owner has died and the executors need to sell. They are notoriously difficult to shift.RHemmings said:thara1996 said:Heya. I have been hunting for small properties all day today. Wish me luck. I want a cheap flat in question.

It’s so they won’t be seen eating their untaxed meat while buying flights which involve sneaking out in the dead of night to avoid the compulsory car sharing that we didn’t realise was going to happen until Rishi told us that it’s not.RHemmings said:
Maybe the owner is concerned that they're going to bring back window taxes. Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this...thing...next door
Or maybe it’s to hide their 7 bins that they will no longer need according to the announcement?
