My sister has suggested that I look for a house where I can arrange things to live on only one floor. For this reason, when I get (hopefully 'much') older. Maximising living in one room - even more so.
    Isn't that called a bungalow?

We have lived in ours for 28 years, moving here when our children were very small.  We didn't buy it with that in mind but because of it's lovely location and it's been a fantastic place to bring up our children.  Now we're 'future proofing' to be able to stay as long as possible.

We're seriously considering a bungalow. There are other advantages as well, e.g. some energy-efficiency gains are easier with bungalows. But, that's just one property type we're looking at.

Apols for going off-topic on this thread a bit. (My fault).

Thanks for getting us back on topic. That looks rather nice indeed. I hope the big flat part of the ceiling is facing north, and ready for a good helping of solar panels.

I searched to find the most expensive bungalow in all of Warwickshire. This is it, and it can be yours for £5,000,000.

I do think the interior, including the bold carpet in the living room, is definitely worth having a look at. It reminds me of the Hotel Abbasi in Isfahan.

In case anyone is looking for a cottage with it's own clocktower:

That could be a really lovely home with a bit of work. :)

Offers over £75K. Affordable. I guess a property developer will snap it up and replace the clock in the tower with one from Poundland.
