In case anyone is looking for a cottage with it's own clocktower:

Rosebank Gardens, Sauchie, Alloa FK10, cottage for sale - 65650120 | PrimeLocation
Also metal shed, storage unit and summerhouse in the rear garden.

No mention of the grass-effect carpet being included, though.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Everyone has flowers on their loo - don't they? And on their dining table and bench? And the footstool, patio table, bed and cooker?

Yes, it's in Soho, but a million quid for a flat where the only access to the bedroom is by walking through the only bathroom?

"has been painted in a lovely Verdigris blue, made especially for the current owner" If I ever sell my house I must remember to include in the listing that the paint colour was made especially for me. After all, the nice chap at the paint mixing desk in B&Q made up a pot in a particular colour just for me; I didn't realise that would be a major selling point for my house though  :D
The colours on the kitchen walls & ceilings throughout my house are all "custom" - A white base with a splash of cadmium yellow (for the walls) and a pale blue (with an overcoat of white). You won't get anything to match from B&Q. However, I don't think that would amount to a premium price being paid for this place if/when it gets sold.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Maybe the owner is concerned that they're going to bring back window taxes.

I can instantly spot the handiwork of one local-to-me estate agent when I browse Rightmove, as every property they list has a chopping board staged "in use" in the kitchen and verdant leafy plants in several other rooms. In the photos, at least. And we all know the camera would never lie.
Never take a stranger's advice. Never let a friend fool you twice.

Wide-angle lenses certainly get very close to lying, I believe. Look how big the garden looks. The house is a tiny dot on the horizon from the back of the garden.

When I was looking a few years ago I could always spot one estate agent as they always included a close up of the shower head.  Could never work out why!

For sale - good to see mirror on ceiling above the bed was left in place for the photos

Rental - it’s lovely - I’d have it in a New York second
If there is a mirror on the ceiling,  I'd expect pink champagne on ice
