Reminds me of a friend of ours. His place was all white too. A friend of his painted it for him and complained he felt like he was snowblind by the time he was done! It definitely wasn't somewhere you'd want to spill a glass of red wine.

And the flip flops by the door in an otherwise empty room! It's very strange - almost devoid of furniture or signs of actual living, but then an ironing board that looks mid-use, an almost-empty bottle of washing up liquid... does someone live there or not??
My son says that he's looking forward to having a room he can decorate himself, and I'm worried as to what he might do. Perhaps oneday it'll end up on here in this thread...On the plus side, white is a good base for just about any colour, unlike grey. Think of it as "ready primed", and go get yourself some tins of Farrow & Ball.
