given the location, a large numbers of cookers could be explained by the vendors' religious leanings.Ditzy_Mitzy said:
Nothing wrong with swags and pelmets, assuming one has a vacuum cleaner with a long extension pipe and dusting attachment. The decoration in both places is unusual, very much middle-market business hotel and conference centre circa 2003. Such decor serves a purpose in the hospitality sector, of course, but why have it in one's residence? Perhaps both owners were seduced by the allure of the commercial and vaguely anonymous.joho said:Wowser! Look at the swags and pelmets going on here.

And more swags and pelmets. Sunglasses required for the hallway carpet too.
Old Hall Lane, Whitefield M45, 4 bedroom detached house for sale - 62561040 | PrimeLocation
The kitchen in the second one seems nonsensically lavish, too. What does one do with all that stuff? Do rich people eat more? Do they insist on a 1:1 ratio between numbers of chicken legs in a packet and cookers to cook them in?2 -
Agree @jimbo6977 We looked at a house once that was owned by a Jewish family and they had two sinks and two of every kitchen appliance.

When nephew and his girlfriend stayed with us I knew not to serve pork or shellfish - but got myself into a right tizz over the 'don't mix meat and dairy' rule.SadieO said:Agree @jimbo6977 We looked at a house once that was owned by a Jewish family and they had two sinks and two of every kitchen appliance.
Thankfully, girlfriend wasn't bothered about that!1 -
