Is that a bath with a door for the elderly? I don't think I've ever seen one in the wild. Although, it's not entirely clear how you would go about closing the gap.

Apart from the door in the bath for easy access, I am not convinced that this house is ideal for the over 60s, yet that seems to be how it is being marketed.  Full price without the equity release is £450+.

My grandmother used to have one and there was a section that pulled up from the bottom and was pushed in to place against a lip on the side of the bath with some clips. The weight of the water pushed it against the side to keep it sealed.

Edit: I can't find any examples of them but my grans must have been 80's in era.

I think it has been converted to a step in shower - no door or door removed.

What I don't understand about those baths with doors is, when you're done, you must have to stay sitting in there while the water drains out, right? Sounds a bit chilly.

Very famous English example of the "International Style". Not cheap at £3M and only has 2 bathrooms for 8 bedrooms. It was saved from demolition in 1962 when only just over 30 yrs old
