ProDave said "Did they also turn down the colour on all the internal photographs? Or is it really that devoid of any colour inside?"This current obsession with "grey everything" is crazy! When I was looking for a house last year, there were numerous houses where it looked like they'd put up back and white photos instead of colour ones. There was absolutely nothing that wasn't grey in many of the houses. Not even the occasional accent of colour.Mxx0

The effect is more than just contrast, it's HDR (High Dynamic Range) - basically unlike a usual limited depth of field , everything is equally in sharp focus and detail so it makes it look unreal.ariarnia said:This was posted on a different thread but made me think again. why are agents in multiple listings turning up the contrast on their photos so much the items int he room look photoshopped? also means the carpet looks a right mess with hoover marks.

in some of the listings i've seen it's quite unsettling and unnatural looking. especially but not only those with lurid green fake grass like that bungalow that already look strange/wrong. when you hear about people being tricked into paying a deposit on a none existent house based on things like screen shots from computer games it's less unbelievable when looking at some of these listings.Patr100 said:

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -

Off-topic, but - seems to be the current trend in car colours, too.
Count the battleship grey cars next time you're out and about ...0 -
But then an excellent blank canvas to add colour...Snow_Angel said:I think the inside of this house would give me a permanent migraine!

what the hell is that?!
Why not just say it for what it is - a house that's been split by some greedy doorknob into two flats, when clearly it was buit as a house, meaning the poor person who has to live there as they can't afford anywhere else has an absolutely awful quality of life.1 -
No, you're completely wrong there - they were built as four-in-a-block flats, very common around Glasgow, typically called upper/lower cottage flats (probably "maisonettes" in English parlance) - own front door, private bit of the garden.anotheruser said:

Apart from this one's "interesting" decor, not sure what you think is wrong with it?5 -

It's a miracle to have such great cultured pictures from 1985. Wallpaper from a poisoned mind makes me really want to hurt them. Anyway, no time left, karma calls.Slinky said:There's a house in here somewhere under the wallpaper and other treasures4
