also curious flap-blind for the skylight, or maybe just somewhere to hang yourself when the accommodation gets too much for you.
We have them in our Bathroom and Kitchen.
I don't really have a problem with them, but it feels like it'll be a proper wotsit ache to replace them (decorating etc.)
I would personally rather have a striplight than spotlights in my kitchen, but I'm a big fan of having the kitchen as a kitchen, I think it's different if you have open plan or where the kitchen is a kitchen /finer or used more as living space, where you don't necessary want such harsh, glaring lighting.Cheers for the opinion. Our Kitchen is very much a working kitchen (we have a seperate diner).
What about bathroom? It's great as far as light is concerned but looks rubbish. The Missus isn't quite so keen and that I guess might put a buyer off.
We had fluorescents in our kitchen, and I replaced them with LED lamps. The light output is similar, and the LEDs look great. There was not much making good - just painting the bits where the fluorescents were removed.
We went for these:

They look, good surface mounted against a white ceiling. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Maybe, this one? https://hornseaproject3.co.uk/
It's not at all hard to find out about this, if you know how to go about it, by the way.Just found one of the consultation documents for the Hornsea interconnect - One of the maps shows the route passing just outside the side of the property. Also looks like they will be using the old RAF Oulton as the main construction site. So loads of traffic coming past the door while the thing is being constructed over an 8 year period. On the bright side, the cables will be buried underground, so there won't be any visual impact once the scheme is completed.Neck and neck win for @FreeBear and @GDB2222, it's the Hornsea 3 cable route that runs right next to the garden. My guess is that either the owner will hang on to sell until the project is done, or an investor will pick the property up cheap and sit on it until it is saleable again. I do know that the owner has purchased and is renovating another property, I hope for their sakes that they didn't have to pay for that out of the sale of the house. One other snag is that the extension design planning is dependent on the owner buying a slice of land from the farmer that owns it. Now the cables may run under part of that land. I spotted that landowners get compensated for the construction on their land, so there is no way a farmer would sell land if there is money to be squeezed out of it. (I'm actually surprised that any farmer would agree to sell land, they hate doing that)0 -

Since moving on, in my current place, there are three central spotlights , but they create shadows where my worktop areas are, so not great.
Nowadays I imagine they would eventually be replaced with multiple recessed led spotlights all over the ceiling.1 -

This was posted on a different thread but made me think again. why are agents in multiple listings turning up the contrast on their photos so much the items int he room look photoshopped? also means the carpet looks a right mess with hoover marks.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

And a grey paint job to boot.By all accounts, suffering from subsidence, so may not be worth the asking price. Her courage will change the world.

Did they also turn down the colour on all the internal photographs? Or is it really that devoid of any colour inside?
