We had a striplight in our lounge in the 70's 🙈  Peter Kay's "put t' big light on" resonated with me more than most.  In our house it was more often my Mum saying "turn the big light off - everyone can see in!"

also curious flap-blind for the skylight, or maybe just somewhere to hang yourself when the accommodation gets too much for you.

What a depressing flat.  £150K for 31 square metres, only one proper window, just that skylight with the flap in the bedroom. How does that comply with fire safety?  No thank you,

Then it's EPC F so not only will it depress you, it will bankrupt you with the heating bill.

What a shame for that archway having those buildings next to it. I suppose the one consolation is that the archway will still be there long after the adjacent buildings are gone.

Pic 3, that shelf set into the kitchen wall with a little "notch" above it must be the most pointless "kitchen feature" ever.  Just what would you use it for?

I don't have any strong feelings either way about the building itself but its very close proximity to the next one doesn't work for either of them.

This type of juxtaposition is often what planners demand rather than copying the original style which can just look pastiche and, lets face it, is unlikely to be affordable in modern times.

As I say it's personal taste but I like it, I like the layout with lots of storage and at £109K for city centre living it surely ticks the boxes for affordable living for young people.  The sort of thing that all those freaking out about Kirstie's advise say is impossible   Certainly back in my city living days I would definately have given up Netflix for this one.
