No, you aren't. It looks like the place has undergone a half baked conversion to a four bed, when it probably started life with three, and is in the process of reverting to the original layout on the basis that it worked better. I quite like it as a building, it's got a few modernist touches and there's enough original stuff intact to attempt a restoration.RatInACage said:1 -
One presumably could have had hours of fun, then, by ringing the doorbell and asking 'is there a doctor in the house?'.RatInACage said:Ditzy_Mitzy said:

Since it's right next to Walsgrave Hospital, I'm guessing it was an HMO for junior doctors, etc. Basically cram in as many as possible.1 -

I'm so used to seeing people with football-related profiles being anti-LGBT on Twitter, I never expected to see a trans pride flag in a football fan's house.
I missed that, it kinda blended in. Maybe not so bad after all.2 -
Same in mine, it is totally usable all year round. You cant just stick up a glass box from B&Q with a plastic roof and expect that to work all year round. You have to think it through, plan it properly and use the correct materials and insulation for the job. We attached the kitchen and garage together with a large L shaped conservatory, with solar reflective glass, a log burner for the winter and 2 wall mounted air source heating units, which has given us a unique space with a breakfast bar, a seating area, a dining room and a utility area. Same as thegreenone, we couldn't have had a traditional extension either as the kitchen would have turned into a cave. Instead, it is light, bright and airy, toasty in winter and comfortable in summer (although it has its moments when it is blazing hot sun for days on end!). It is THE room that everyone gravitates to and it doubled our living space. I will be sorry to leave it, but unfortunately you cant take the extension with you when you move 30 miles away!thegreenone said:
Not in this house. We had an old, wooden conservatory replaced and use the new one as a dining room with sofa, chair and 2nd TV. We chose solar reflective glass on the roof, a ceiling fan and underfloor heating as we couldn't have a traditional extension otherwise the lounge would've been way too dark. We use it all year round and we get a good crop of sweet peppers each year!RatInACage said:They're too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter, and they seem to end up as junk rooms a lot of the time.)2 -
There's also a long, platinum blonde wig hanging on the wall opposite the flag![Deleted User] said:RatInACage said:[Deleted User] said:

Warning of what?[Deleted User] said:
The house was added to Rightmove on 01/07/2021
which was near the finish of the Euro 2020 finals which England was heavily involved in , losing in the final
Hence the flags for an obvious football fan (see the football shirt).
I'd be more concerned about the poor dog in the cage.0 -
Presumably that corridor has a door to the bedroom, because otherwise there is no door on the floor plan,[Deleted User] said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/110384168#/floorplan?activePlan=2&channel=RES_BUY
Bedroom 3 could have been a decent size, but... Nah, let's extend the corridor to nowhere, that will certainly be useful.
but yes, the space probably could have been better used .0 -
Looks like the builders have basically converted the lofts to add another floor so the owners don't have to.RatInACage said:
Other than a bit of Lovecraft-worthy non-euclidean geometry going on in the master, that one looks OK.[Deleted User] said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/79254927#/media?channel=RES_BUY&id=media11&ref=photoCollage
Talk about an awkward shape. I've noticed a lot of new builds are like that.0 -

We have an upper floor like that (planning reasons) it works very well as a way to give you almost 100% usable floor area in a loft, far better than ordinary dormers.

Or maybe they've had a Changing Rooms makeover and it's a "hair wall".Ditzy_Mitzy said:
