It could be lovely! It could also be a money pit! I would defiantly be tempted to take a proper look if it wasn’t at the other end of the country.0

Nice selection of whacky carpets and floral wallpaper (plus a plush loo seat cover!) https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/72385392#/3

I always wonder with these properties who ever thought that wallpaper went with that carpet?od244051 said:Nice selection of whacky carpets and floral wallpaper (plus a plush loo seat cover!) https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/72385392#/1

Also the pattern or colour on the 3 piece suite/bedding/curtains probably clashed with carpet and wallpaper too.RelievedSheff said:

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-87729799.htmlWhat's the back story there? It looks like a standard semi detached house, where the neighbouring half of the semi detached pair has been demolished and replaced with a detached house, making this one now detached but a bit odd looking, particularly roof, hip one side, gable the other.

I saw a house for sale which was across the road from me. The photos were dreadful, everything which could be wrong with them was. The estate agent was getting a right bashing. My thought was that the agent and seller would think they were getting hundreds of views whilst really getting laughed at.SandyN21 said:Has anyone ever seen their own property for sale on here?
I told the seller to have a look at the thread and instead of approaching the agent with a complaint she told me she was disgusted at how rude people on here were. The house did sell, eventually.6

A very human reaction, because people identify strongly with their property and see any criticism as a personal slight. From her perspective, it was like saying that the make-up artist and the photographer just couldn't do enough to create an attractive image.swingaloo2 said:

It is a fairly common style of architecture in some parts of the country for houses built in the 1920s & 30s - It might just be an East Anglian thing though...ProDave said:Oxon said:Not sure the street view is correct here

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
