Please don't expect anything on the scale of poor condition house like we've seen in this thread before, but there are two photos here I'm genuinely curious about.

First, what is that whiteish stuff on the carpet that looks to be about the size and position of a single bed?
And, are those some sort of stalactites handing from the range hood?

My wife is Indonesian. I went to an auction property alone and was video calling her. I thought there were the most outrageously patterned and coloured (I would say 'garish') carpets there, and I showed her. Her reaction was that she absolutely loved them and that they looked like batik (Indonesian style). They were in new condition too. We didn't buy the house for other reasons, but I was thinking that if we bought that house, I wasn't going to be allowed to replace them. I don't have any photos of the actual carpets, but this batik shirt should give an idea.Ditzy_Mitzy said:

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
