There’s probably money to be made on refurbishing / converting it.
Much more potential than this, which I’m guessing is built on the site of some old garages or mid-terrace garden:

I didn't complain about gas hobs, said from experience that many people who use gas for cooking are sceptical about induction hobs.
The previous post complained that a developer had installed a gas hob instead of induction. And I suggested that this had been done because it would be the most popular option with buyers.
But there are negatives, some mentioned in later posts.
1. Air pollution in your kitchen. Carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, particulates etc.
2. Environment: you can cook with renewable energy on an induction hob. . They are 95% efficient whereas gas hobs are only 40% efficient
3. Safety. Can't only get minor burns at most from an induction hob, and children can't play with the knobs and turn the gas on.
3. Wipe clean in a few seconds
But people aren't dying from points 1 and 2.
And the environmental aspect isn't simple because the UK doesn't generate much renewables in winter and 40% of the electricity going into the grid is from gas power stations.2 -

On the subject of gas vs induction hobs, I always preferred a gas one until we bought our current house five years ago and there was an induction hob in situ. I had no option but to use it and buy new saucepans but when we replaced our kitchen, it was the only thing I kept.I love my induction hob and wouldn’t change it to anything else. It’s so easy to keep clean, so simple to use and no risk of burning your fingers and it’s quick too. Yes, you have to have specific pans that you can’t always buy cheaply but I bought a cheap set from Amazon and they’re still going strong although one will need replacing at some point. If we ever move and there isn’t an induction hob in place, it would be one of the first things I’d get if possible.3

Snap! We were in exactly the same situation and like you, I couldn't do without my induction hob now.0 -
