It's a cavity wall house, with insulation.

With the missing bricks, crack lines inside plaster patched up but not painted, it looks to my untrained eye like there might be a subsidence issue? Soon to be patched up, hidden with new paint and probably new render on the front.
At least the savvy buyer now knows this thanks to the premature marketing.
Add in a non compliant loft "bedroom" shown in a picture but not on the floorplan, just to add to the "fun"0 -

Judging by Streetview, the exterior brickwork has been like that since mid 2015 - Wonder if the rest of the "refurb" has been hanging around that long.
