That's a bit of a bargain for a bungalow in Keswick even with the amount of work it would require. I'll keep an eye on it and see how quickly it sells.

Definitely warts and all video 'virtual viewing' of a property up for auction.

    From this auction: https://www.bondwolfe.com/auctions/properties/239997-property-auction-hartlepool/

Property sold for £30k in October 2023, and was immediately listed for £15k in November 2023. Sold today for £36k.

I suspect there is a very sad story or stories behind all this.
God, I can imagine the smell in there as well. It looks like it’s had squatters living there. Notice the graffiti on the front door.

I was trying to work out what it said and if it gave a clue as to the reason for sale
Look at Google streetview for Sept 2022 and you can see the extent of the graffiti and exactly what it said.
I wont repeat it  or screencap to post the image.
It was boarded up by August 2023 .

The row of houses opposite were completely replaced with a new estate of houses.
I never thought that so many houses would have been knocked down to make the newbuild estate. Looking at 2012 shows that, as you point out. I wonder if there was something structurally wrong with them.

Again, it was a surprise to see what the graffiti was. That puts quite a different context on things. I'm not saying the accusation in the graffiti is true or not - I don't know. But, just that it was put onto the house... that in itself raises various scenarios.

EDIT: There is something in the local paper which provides context for the graffiti.
Yes I have looked at the Google streetview image with the Graffiti and found the online newspaper article which explained it all.  I just needed to satisfy my curiosity.
I thought it was worrying that children clearly had lived in that house- before I saw the graffiti and Googled.  That makes it even worse.  I hope that he has no contact with children or teens now.
I still can't see any graffiti.

On Google street view at the bottom there is a link called "see more dates" and you can view how the street looked at various points in the past.

    Gossip is usually wrong.

The ex council homes will always out number the new homes.

All houses around that house are covered in cameras going back to 2012, many of the new homes have cameras.

As it was former room mate framing an ex room mate, i will say it its likely on the wrong house, The owner is lucky to be alive after the 'room mate' said this.

I didn't know where the discussion on Raby Gardens in Hartlepool would go when I first posted the video.

I'm not sure that the article about the man who impersonated an ex-friend means that the graffiti is incorrect (not that I'm saying that the graffiti is something that should happen - the police's actions are the correct response.) There is a conviction for crimes compatible with the accusation in the graffiti. That doesn't guarantee that the house was correctly targetted. The person convicted there has previously been convicted of 'football hooligan' violence.

Looking at the news articles that mention Raby Gardens shows that a number of things have happened there. The non-crime/court case news seems to only be a cat that was rescued from being trapped under the floorboards of a burnt out house, being one 'scheduled for demolition' in 2016.

Of course, most areas will have some crime if news is searched for. And, crime including anti-social behaviour will on average be more common in areas of social deprivation.

At the back, my house has two lines of blue-painted bricks which looks like a feeble attempt to hide the fact that the decking at the back has breached the damp-proof course. Should I have that paint removed, or will the wall as a whole breathe if only two rows of bricks are painted?
