I hope that is gone soon. A councillor posted his email address saying that it didn't have planning permission and to contact him. Many others said to contact the fire brigade.

This action clearly pre-dates me sending messages to KFC, as it couldn't happen that fast. EDIT: Yes, from 21 hours ago. 

It would be interesting to know what happened between KFC and the landlord.

Someone has changed the layout of that. You don’t have a downstairs bathroom with a large clear window opening to the front  of the property.

Someone has changed the layout of that. You don’t have a downstairs bathroom with a large clear window opening to the front  of the property. 

I would guess that someone has turned an upstairs bathroom into a bedroom to make it a four bed house instead of a three bed. And put the bathroom anywhere it would go. Some TV programmes such as Homes Under the Hammer say it's amazing when a property developer increases the number of bedrooms in a house, but there's always something that gives.

I had a look around on Google Maps, and it appears that there are a lot of newbuild houses around it. And, while there is a block of similar terraces in a small square, they seem to be surrounded by better houses and better maintained houses. I haven't been there, but I'm wondering if it was a sink estate but is becoming more upmarket. 

E.g. this is the streetview of the house the video came from. 



Note the bricks in the front of next door. It may be that some work is being done on that house. 

Now, here is the view from exactly the same point, just looking facing about 180 degrees or so in a different direction.



And, if I scoot around the block to look at the gardens to see if they are cared for, this is from the same block of houses as the one the video is from. One overgrown, but one nicely maintained. 



And, continuing around the block, here's the other side of the block from the house the video is from.



The final side of the block doesn't look promising again.



However, turn to face 180 degrees in the opposite direction, and we get this. 



I'm not claiming that I 'know these things', but particularly if next door is being refurbished, then the whole area looks like it could be 'improving'. Though, the poor and needy need a place to live, and I sort of wonder if any 'improvements' here are forcing them out.

Look at Google streetview for Sept 2022 and you can see the extent of the graffiti and exactly what it said.
I wont repeat it  or screencap to post the image.
It was boarded up by August 2023 .

The row of houses opposite were completely replaced with a new estate of houses.
