Was a Pub -the royal oak-  I knew it was before i found the street view, but the plan said one room was a showroom.

I can’t find it on street view, as the link on Rightmove doesn’t take you straight there.

The weird part is that the house looks more recent than early 60s, but that may be because it has recent double glazing. The houses next door look 60s. It's been well maintained, if you could live with the decor it looks like the only immediate investment needed is a new bathroom?

I have a look around Rightmove for various reasons. Some more serious; some less serious. The properties I've posted here have typically been ones that I've found for other reasons. 

It seems that property auctions are a good source of one category of properties that appear in this thread.

Mostly luck and looking at a lot of pages.

On Rightmove you can scroll the pictures without opening the listing ,zoom in the page a little, By doing that you can rule out a lot of bland staged homes, Also setting to 40 miles will get you a lot of homes outside towns that may be more unique.

The is also order by new/old that will get homes that are hard to sell for some reason.

I don't remember anyone having an integral oven in the 70s.  They must have been very swanky.  Perhaps the most surprising thing is the telephone still in the hallway as it is hard to imagine they still have a teenager using a landline and their Dad using the cold hallway to keep the calls short.
