On the plus side, your archers will be well protected.
What ever possessed the architect into thinking this was acceptable?  And who would buy it!

Pretty sure those windows wouldn't class as legal.

We have looked into this recently and I believe a window has to have a minimum width of 45cm to comply with fire regulations. These don't look big enough... imagine trying to squeeze through those in a fire situation.
Two elevations of my house have only windows this sort of size, they are the ensuites but the other two elevations have perfectly decent size windows.  I suspect this one will have the usual patio/folding doors to the garden on the right hand side there. I think it is the unusual positioning of the front door that is making it look odd.

Someone bought it, and now rents it out -> https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/144710438#
The windows on the gable ends are a reasonable and it looks like you'd get a reasonable amount of natural daylight in the rooms.

But that is the front of the house. Looks better now than it did in 2013. I used to live on one of the older estates in Bourne and remember this estate being built.

    Both are bathroom windows.

Another one on the same street. Its a flat with 3 garage doors on the back.

This one has fake window headers so the owner has added 'windows'

    just keeps giving.

I don't understand what you mean. Surely you would not expect windows at the back of the garages beneath the two flats.  What's wrong with the last one?

I think we have found Britain's most hideous new estate. Although there is certainly plenty of competition

We need a  reaction button for posts.
  • There are many terraces in the estate where one house has a roof about 1ft lower than the others or a 5 degree steeper pitch.
As if they had a few disjointed house designs and either decided to or were made to attach them to form terraces

When I was 17 I had a summer job at major building company sending out designs to subcontractors. To be honest I did make some small amendments to the plans just to make the job more interesting

    Lol

What kind of changes did you make? When I was young, there was a news story in the paper about some school students on summer jobs that worked on the 'Yellow Pages', phone book for businesses. They made some 'anatomical additions' to some cartoons in feature adverts, and they got printed.
