Oh my! I'd love a verandah like that. But why isn't there a photo of the view from it?

No photos of the front of the house because the house fronts a path not a road, I guess the clue is in the name. End of the back garden is on the road behind, you can see via streetview through the Rightmove listing: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/144258389

It’s an over extended semi in a commuter town too far from the train station.

When I saw the good boy, I immediately thought of Shannon finding an island, but no shady tree there.

Not only is it down a path, but it looks to be quite a narrow one as well. I'm not sure what you mean by 'End of the back garden is on the road behind'. Unless I have the wrong house, it seems to both front onto and back onto different parts of Ayott Path.
  • I think the first photo is the front of the house. If you compare it to the historic photos. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/details/england-55016284-88612809?s=644d7cdb282689a92a1b2479d174212036822686565c4fd3ba9fece8f0ab6a9f#/ it is quite confusing.

The top photo is of the back of the house, looking at the map I thought that the rear of the back garden was on Walshford Way, certainly some of the houses on that path are and the streetview through Rightmove seemed to show that.

I thought the house is one of 32 or 34. If so, it doesn't seem to back onto a road. I could easily be wrong with the numbers as the position on Rightmove might be a generic postcode position.

That is one of the cheaper parts of Oxford.  I used to have a friend that lived close to that house and we always had a laugh about the street name.

The rear view of the house is amusing, it's a competition to see who can build the biggest shed on top of their roof (loft conversion) and this one comes last with it's small shed on the roof.

This was the typical 3 bed 1930's semi that i grew up in.  All they have achieved with that loft conversion is trading the usual tiny 3rd bedroom for a slightly bigger one in the loft.  But still 3 bedrooms.
