Hi! My mot was meant to be at the beginning of March but I got an exemption, was I supposed to have received a refund? Or do they just keep it for when you rebook your test? Also my husbands car is actually due its mot today but he forgot to book one 🙄 the earliest date i can book for is 3rd June, if it is booked does this mean he wont get an exemption certificate until June and so will not be able to drive his car until then? Thanks so much for any help!

I haven't got a refund yet either, I booked on 7th March for a test on 22nd April, I got the cancellation letter after about 2 weeks.

Mine was due on the 14th March. I can see the refund to my card, shortly before that *but* they backdated the refund to 20th February, so look carefully, it may not be listed where you expect.

Mine was booked on 27th December for MOT due 22nd February.  Still no refund.  I've just gone through the bank statement as you suggest RikM, no luck.   My guess is they're holding on to it for next time.

hope you can help.  I booked my Mot on 24th Jan to take place on April 6th 2020.  I kept phoning them asking if it would cancel but they said to leave it till the 6th to phone.  No answer anymore at customer service or booking call centre.  I have not got a letter of cancellation and using the above link my Mot still is running out at the end of April.  I can't renew my road tax and I am getting worried since I won't be able to use the car soon for any emergencies.  Is there anywhere I can contact to get this sorted?  Thank you for any help.

The DVA has suspended all testing for three months, until 22 June 2020. Currently, it is a strange system, you have to book an MoT so they can cancel it and give you a "Certificate of Temporary Exemption."  Got mine yesterday - lasts till September.

My MOT was supposed to be on 31st March which was the actual renewal date. I have not had a cancellation email, a refund, or an exemption certificate but when I check my MOT status online, my MOT now  doesn't  expire until September so it looks like MOT's will automatically extend when they expire.

Can't see how outstanding MOT's will be done for this year with all the backlog. Probably get TEC extensions to cover the remainder of this year.
