Could I have a turtle hug please. I put vix on my front, back and feet last night (does it count as pampering as it's excellent for my heels) and had a reasonable sleep (still using the pillow mountain supplemented by a folded counterpane).

Wrote a flow chart of appointments and follow ons from last months appointment and there are 13 (some not yet booked) with another few health related (prescriptions, blood tests etc). Feel so exhausted that I nearly opted out of this month's challenge but without my fellow turtles, I would drown.

I probably need to see the doctor in case this (cough, cold, sore throat ) bug is amenable to antibiotics, but desperately terrified of being sent into hospital (I just can't, no way, mum needs me and I probably wouldn't havea house to come back to).

    Positives
    Feeling very strong mentally
Clarity - the wooly head from the 'cold' part of the bug has receded, my organising brain is firing on all cylinders
Physical weakness (don't want to get out of bed, needing to hold onto things and finding myself swaying gently when standing - keeping my balance but aware that I'm not still) means I NEED to focus on looking after myself.

    Making a start
Ate a large yoghurt (brought it upstairs yesterday but didn't need it) and concentrated on my breathing
Spent some time looking through the window - weather not great but watching the pattern of bare branches against the background of old mellow brick
Opened the pack of antiseptic wipes and rubbed one doorframe (only the bit where my hand would go, not risking bending down)
Found my old 'feather' duster and will bring back a stick to tie it to, when I manage to get downstairs

Today I am grateful for time to think (ponder), lovely thick soothing yoghurt, leaving the ys bread buns in my bag when I came in from shopping on Sunday (I have cheese spread, I can eat) and mum saying not to go there if I wasn't better today (I will have to get up and go out at some point but I can read through the flow chart and work out easier ways to do some things - I have a phone again), focus on self-care and delegate (just given DS3 wipe instructions).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

:grouphug::grouphug: mothernerd:grouphug::grouphug: lots and lots of hugs.

Today will be NSD1 as I went into the little Coop to buy Tw1nings Earl Grey as it was down to £3 and the shop assistant told me to put it back and come in tomorrow when it is going down to£2.20. So I put it back and walked out again. Yay for shop assistants who are MSE!

Clothes -unearthed an old stripey hoodie, I am only cleaning the house today so who cares.

Makeup- face cream on the arm of the sofa, it is going on every morning.

Dancing - having a dance in the kitchen every washing up session. So three times a day!:rotfl:
Eating well - shake for breakfast, veg soup for lunch and it was gorgeous! not sure if I am shaking or stir-frying tonight. either or. The numbers are reducing. :j

Trying not to get annoyed but I am, with guy I work with, he is not in the real world, 60 yrs old and always lived with his mother until she passed away 5 yrs ago. Saying homeless people should just get a job and if he was homeless he would and doesn't understand how people get themselves homeless grrrrrrr. Biting my tongue had two minds to take him along the road and chat to one lads I know who was looking pretty cold out there today.

Anyway I can't solve all problems today. Feeling better today Sciatica responding to me doing stretchy exercises last night, Got some sleep.

I must confess did no walking last night or clothes sorting I was so shattered with little sleep just dived into a bubbly bath.

Paid £200 off cc today. Done a few surveys,

    Grateful for

    Grateful for:
    - warm office
    - colleagues being out for the morning (we're a bit cramped in our office)
    - Caro Emerald in my ears during working hours, to block out this afternoon's training session from my one senior colleague to my one junior colleague, right next to me.

  • Checking in from work to claim NSD 4/14- convinced DD to have toast instead of cereal for breakfast which means there is enough milk to streeeeeeeeetch out til tomorrow when I do a proper shop (might regret it if I end up with black tea in the morning!). Thinking if i claim it now i wont change my mind on the way home, but if i do i promise to take my NSD back! Not much else to report, grateful for a quiet day at work to get caught up on lots of paperwork, a dog walk in the sunshine at lunchtime, DD being happy enough to change her breakfast plans!

    Hugs to mothernerd.

Calling - if only it were that easy.

Nivea is supposed to be good for leather goods, but not so good for fabric I imagine. I keep a handcream and a lipbalm near the sofa to use in the evenings.

Applied for a job today but it had one of those timed tests which I can tell you I right royally failed, the internet was slow, I was being blinded by the sun and I use a notebook computer type thing and I couldn't see the information and the question at the same time and had to keep scrolling up and down. I am annoyed with myself, the only saving grace is that the job is based quite a long way away and is a horrible drive so I am not too fussed.

Have walked the dog in the woods, he came home caked in mud so I watered him down with a watering can - he hasn't looked at me since. Posted an ebay parcel and gave the kitchen a good old clean.

DH is doing the school run and taking DD back to the optician, we are having a very quick tea and will have some supper later whilst we watch the last episode of Deadwater Fell.

All washing and ironing now done but to be honest not much else. I don't seem to be able to get myself motivated. Must do better tomorrow.

Apologies for being MIA - have been swamped with death related paperwork and meetings! Very tired!

Examine your wardrobe, . - nothing bought. Rediscovered a ls top in my wardrobe that I quite like - DH hates it! :D

They listened to different music – dust off your cds, listen and decide if you still want to keep them. -still need to go through CDs (although ahve got rid of 4 DVDs) - have only been checking out suitable music for the funeral

dance outrageously every day. Sing loudly. Zumba-ed yesterday. Bopped around whilst doing ironing and in between paperwork today

They "dated," - make at least 3 dates this month - none yet.

make an effort even if it is just clear mascara or moisturising daily moisturised daily. Mascara once (oops) Perfume every day, though

It is a short month, aim for a minimum of 14 NSDs2

Grateful for NHS, lovely funeral home, funky coffin designs, sleep, fluffy slippers, central heating, Xmas choc fingers still being in the cupboard

No chain food takeaways/ drinks bought. Did have Chinese chippy tea on Saturday, though.
