Well done toni'sfriend on winning against the council! It wasn't easy for you at the time, but what a result!
I've made it to day 3 and still not managed to spend a bean! (I had been on the point of writing 'spend a penny' there, but realised what I'd be putting!)
Today I am grateful for being able to drive, for a decent day at work, fo some good chats with some y11s, for getting an essay written with dd, for dh preparing tea, for clean fresh water.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Good evening...
A good start to the week! Boss away so everything is feeling so much more relaxed at work. Rustled up some food for lunches this week, but decided quorn mince doesn't agree with me as had the most awful stomach cramps all afternoon! I knew my cooking was bad, but... haha!
Today = NSD ✮ 2
Today I am grateful for:
1) A lovely morning mindfulness session and positive start to my week
2) A little chat to Mum and Dad to make sure they are ok
3) Home sweet home
Feeling a little restless this evening and at a loose end - which isn't like me at all... but that's two nights running now. Will sit with it and see what comes up.
Just chuckling about your 'spending a penny' comment Apple :rotfl:

Grateful for:
- office heating not working and being sent home to work from home, which is much more pleasant.
- dds finding me home after school, being happy and doing their homework instead of vegging in front f the telly
- lamb chops for dinner
Budget: husband and I get 'meal vouchers' from our employers for every worked day. Husband gets €6, I get €8, so in total we get around €250 per month to spend on food. This is a wonderful Belgian system. Anyway, we try and keep within that amount for our monthly food shops, and build a little food surplus for months we don't get that many vouchers due to vacation, etc. Long story short: we have a large food budget to play with, but we cannot allocate the money elsewhere.

Monday NSD 3/14, no way I can keep this run going any further as I will definitely need milk tomorrow, but I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE! (at least that's the plan!).
I finally got an outgrown item of DDs out of the house by remembering to give it to my friend for her younger girl. Am about to use some lotions and potions before getting ready for bed, no other flapper behaviour to report.
Gratitudes today- DD being her usual mischievous self despite a nasty cough, my childminder being an absolute star, the weather being nowhere near as bad as it usually is at this time of year.0 -
Spent every day this month so far so no NSDs to report
. Had a really lovely weekend away with friends, quite spendy but all within budget. Today I bought toothbrush heads, vitamins, lunch (:o but didn't get back until late last night) and cupcakes for a birthday at work.

Not managed a no spend day yet and today was a huge chunk out of my savings- works being done on my vw camper. ( If any of you watch cold feet it was out on location with them for a few days and should be shown next few weeks.) still more work need but that’s the joy of an old camper 1974.
My gratitudes today include the welder who didn’t mind me crying.
A lovely night on my own crocheting and the dog being quiet for once.Count down to retirement 20230 -

Got my first NSD of the month today (and paid an extra £100 of my credit card).

NSD 3. Took mum to treatment clinic (district nurses) then on to lunch at her old boyfriend's house (when they were both 17) - pork, roast potatoes and veg, alcohol free wine and apple pie for afters. Spent the afternoon chatting.
Now have 3 more appointments to book mum in for plus twice weekly with the district nurses for aat least the next 5 weeks (I have a prescription to get all the dressings) and she has had severe back pains from Saturday. I would like her to see our doctor to see if it needs further investigation but not sure if either of us can cope with another 3 appointment week let alone a month of them.
Coughing so much all my muscles (ribs, stomach, buttocks) hurt and was nearly sick at teatime. Only did a mini shopping trip yesterday and walked from where I got out of the taxi today but the air is really cold.
Today I am grateful for a lovely lunch, pleasant company and an unexpected NSD (I was going to come home on the bus after mum's appointment as I didn't want to pass the cough onto two 84 yo with multiple health problems but mum didn't think it was too bad).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)0
