Small spend yesterday in a cafe but 3 glasses of water meant it was much cheaper than it may have been. Part of fun budget anyway.Bumped roast dinner to yesterday from Sunday as DH wasn’t well on Sunday so have a free meal on the meal plan. This is good considering the roast was free anyway with left over Christmas meat.More use up out of the freezer again this week. Juiced a load of oranges this morning to save waste. Round up of things from fridge today to go in spag Bol tonight.Grateful for:
fresh food

NSD No 13
Took Himself to the hospital today. Three hours there and back, forty minute wait and ten minutes for the tests. Got caught in a hail/thunder storm on the way home freezing and windy. Still, it's done now and we are still so much luckier than others that we've missed the worst of this. Just having a small (actually large) glass of wine now.
Apart from that I really haven't done much today. Feeling a bit guilty because I know I have a lot I should be doing,Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -
Well done to all Turtles still afloat or on land. NSD 10 today. Today was a major milestone, ds2 had his hair cut - admittedly twice, as he came home, looked in the mirror and said OMG, I sent him back out and they did it proper the second time. Hooray! All my lambs have been shorn. It is still a NSD as I gave him £20 last month and he has been refusing to get it done until today. So I have a bonus £5 back I did not expect, will use it for parking when I take the kids into town as they still have a load of loot to spend - bookstones vouchers and they want posh doughnuts (shakes head emoji). Will probably take them on Thursday but will spend nothing myself. Lunch was surprise Pesto Tagliatelle. Found a lot of ys basil (18p) on Monday so nabbed it. Made a whole jam jar full, half left for another meal.Hugs to all the poorly turtles.Annoyed shake of the head at other people's irritating behaviour towards any Turtle. Some people eh?.......4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hi everyone hope the weather has settled wherever you are.
Clothes - nothing here today but this part of the challenge made me think about other things! I’m a bit of a stationery nerd and had a pack of colourful gel pens in my work drawer. I’d used my blue and black the rest are just sitting there so today I used orange! I like a good gel pen but using the orange made me smile today 😆.
Music - still enjoying different DJ on radio 2. Just nice to have a change.
Dancing - nope none again today.
3 dates - ✅
Self care - filed my nails if that counts.?!
Budgets/Debts - Need to keep an eye on things. Paid for work items on my card and reimbursed by cash, must not fritter away!
NSDs - (laugh at NSD as used to think it meant no spin dryer)! still 3/8 not one today as bought parents anniversary present (budgeted spends) and a chocolate bar for DS after swimming lesson. Didn’t use my dryer today 😬
3 Gratitudes - no packed lunch required, my parents for looking after DS today and all enjoyed it, and for slow cooker.
Stayed away - ✅
*off to raid DS pencil case as he has glitter gel pens in a variety of colours*

Hope you get some good sleep, mothernerd.Today I am grateful for waking without an alarm clock, for a successful library visit with dd - we now both have 11 or so books out, for big sis + niece staying with us briefly, for them arriving in time to go swimming with dd, for being able to use the gym, for being tough enough to wash my hair in the cold shower at the gym (!), for a yummy potato omelette for tea, for sending a couple of important emails, for somehow avoiding all of today's sudden downpours.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!11

Still on NSD 9 - paid for visit to barbers today for DS2 & DS3 and trip to Tesc0.
Self care - used a facemask yesterday (one of those sheet ones - the kids think they're a bit scary!)
Grateful for: DH working from home today (lots of roads closed in Glos due to floods - flood warnings 2 streets away.....), people liking the flowers organised for the funeral, central heating - meaning washing has dried whilst we've been warm

Hello turtles,
Just home from a long weekend away so still on NSD 8/14 as every day involved money! However it was within my budgeted total so I'm not worrying about it. Had such a good time with the "girl gang" of the family.
I'm counting the whole weekend as date number 2.
DD has come home with yet more clothes so tomorrow I'm sorting out her drawers and will bag up any that no longer fit for a friends daughter or a rag bag depending on how worn out they are.
Gratitude list - my excellent family, DD being old enough now to really be part of these trips and make great memories, fantastic food, games nights, only getting soaked once, a brilliant theatre show, coming home to cuddles from the dog.
Have to check the cupboards and freezer tomorrow to meal plan and make a shopping list, will be a struggle to make it to 14 NSDs but I'm determined to try.............12 -
