    Morning all,

Hugs for those who need them and get well wishes to those feeling poorly.

Well I'm feeling groggy this morning, but it's partly self-inflicted as I stayed up far too late last night, going through the forum reminiscing about all of the people I used to know in those very early days after trying to find one of weezl74's recipes. I wonder how everyone is. AnW'sMum, Triangle, Dustykitten and quite a few others that used to be regulars on the board. Are any of them still around? I know sometimes people change usernames when logons are forgotten etc. When I first joined I wasn't on Facebook (I was a latecomer to it and only joined when pregnant with DS1 thanks to the MSE pregnancy thread) but I know that there were facebook groups set up etc. Natty, Valli, pigpen you may know some of the answers to these. Of course the lovely Toots is no longer with us, and I have very fond memories of her.

How are you doing Dizzy? I hope you're ok as we've not heard from you since your news. Thinking of you. x

Flying this morning has consisted of decluttering DS1 to school and putting a load of washing on so far. Need to get a wriggle on now I've had my morning coffee. Brr it's cold outside today! The workmen are still filling the holes along our road with mud, so it's not looking hopeful that our hole outside our driveway will be tarmacked today which is a shame. We live in a corner of a close, so the plates covering the hole are stepped, and I don't think it's doing my tires much good driving over the sharp edge every time I go on and off my drive.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Hi all, I'm late joining in this week as I have been in my cottage 'supervising' maintenance this week. Today I have a task I need help with. We are struggling to get the filters on the cooker hood clean. They are the metal ones you can remove for cleaning. Any ideas please?

Do you have any soda crystals at all poohbear? I know that chippies use these for soaking greasy things. Or have you tried soaking in biological washing detergent?

Never, ever, thought I would be an inspiration to someone in the flying department :D
Round, you are inspiration to us all. Hope all goes well for you at work this week xx
40 winks turned into an hours sleep which then left me groggy for the rest of the afternoon. But with help planned for fetching and carrying, I had to neck back coffee to get some motivation.
Skinty, I love the way you are thinking - forward planning to make sure that you have help available when it's needed. You are doing brilliantly. I need to sort out old photos too....

(((Hugs))) to asb, Dizzy, YL , LW and anyone else in particular need.

GI, you might get post today, as I finally made it to the PO on Sunday ;)

    Achievements so far:
    - checked finances
    - put away books in the study
    - tidied bedroom and LR
    - ate breakfast
    - made cake for DS2 (visiting his afternoon)
    - DW and bits of WU
    - S&S'd kitchen
    - talked to the chef and sorted DH's meals (on special diet before horse piddle procedure on Monday) during his residential at the weekend
    - showered and nearly dressed now :p

Paperwork this morning, then Rosie's walk before lunch, finish cake, out to visit a care home for an hour, then off to see DS2 and family :D No more time for flying today!

Thank you, I've got some so will give it a try. I've used them for oven sheets but never for filters.

((Hugs)) Dizzy and ASB - of course we want you here whenever you want to be here, however the day is going. Xx
^ ^ ^ ^ Wot she said - strength vibes for both of you; been there, and I know how it feels. Trust me, you will come out the other side, even though it may not feel like it now.

I've emptied the laundry bit, apart from a few hankies (I like to do those on a hot-wash). Also washed the acrylic blanket that lives in the lounge; it was all over dog hair (no surprise there).

Pizza base made; loaf now doing in the BM; and I need to make a goosegog crumble shortly.

Mr Wolf has been prised away from the computer, and is wielding the Dyson.

The fence was all done yesterday - it's a lot more secure now, and even the teeny-tiniest Chihuahua could now run about in the garden safely, with no chance of escaping.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Afternoon flyfriends - popping in to say thank you for all the good wishes. Relations are frosty at the moment - I've been sworn at, ignored, insulted and accused, then apologised to, reasoned with and been made lots of tea since my bombshell.

I'm not sure what's for the best any longer :( (I've been imagining life as a single mum and quite frankly it scares me). I know DH has a stressful job, but he seems to think I do nothing all day, which is far from the truth. Well, since I didn't sleep well last night, that is sort of true today, but I've still done over 8000 steps so far.

My close friends have been amazing, which has really helped me not lose the plot completely. I'm going to sit down with DH and talk things through, to find out what he wants/expects of our marriage and (possible) future life together.

Hugs to all in need - ASB in particular xxx

    WM
Post dealt with but now phone call needs to be made and their not open so will have to wait.

Having a quick cuppa then will get on with tidying round the house and then packing for the weekend as off for a long weekend tomorrow evening but working all day tomorrow until late. I need tobe organized as it is a bit of a trial run for us, OH is working from home on Friday but we are going to go to our holiday (and future retirement) house on Thursday night so he can work there, that way we are already there as soon as he finishes on Friday. I don't work Fridays so will enjoy the market.

Sending you big hugs. It's such a difficult decision to make, and one that takes a lot of bravery. I hope that talking to your DH goes well and that you can find a way to be happy either with or without each other. xx
