Morning all. What a chilly one. I've actually got the heating on.

Actual plans today are dog walking, if they want to, and going to my exercise class. Aiming to just plod along and see what I can get done from the list.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Good morning :D

Hugs to Dizzy and ASB - we are here if you need to unload or rant

DH is off for a few days this week, so he is walking the dog before I star work. It will effect my steps, but does give me more time.
I have hoovered the LR this morning, as there were lots of bits of shredded paper! The piles have been moved out of the way before my LB with ASD and pica arrives! Mind you, it would save shredding it...… :rotfl:

Paid stuff today, but first I need to check the bank accounts. Hopefully DH will be doing some flying! :T

    Have a good day everyone

Hugs being sent to DizzyImp, ASparklyBlonde and Narc0lepsy

Swagbucks goal for the day met, so need to get on to flying now. The kitchen isn't looking too bad as it has luckily remained fairly clean since I caught up last night, but the fridge is definitely calling out for a clean - as is the oven. Saw some oven cleaner in the utility room that I didn't know we had, so may give that a try.

What do you all use to clean out your fridges and ovens? The bottom of our fridge (fitted) was inherited with a scratched plastic base, and it attracts all of the dirt.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Morning all

Limited flying here this week, but generally keeping on top of tidying and laundry. DD1 is home until this evening so have been doing her laundry and then took her shopping. We had a really good clear out and tidy up of our understairs cupboard and it is now looking really good and there is room in there for my sewing machine so the library/study area is looking better. Loads of stuff to go to Emmaus and to the tip but just discovered you can now drop charity stuff off at tip so guess where we're going the weekend after next (off for a long weekend next weekend)

Loads of rubbish to go out this week so that is motivating me on the clearing up front. Just need to finish study/library and the landing (big area where I iron and junk gets dumped) then the house will be tidy and I can think about moving onto the next phase of thoroughly cleaning. I do shove vacuum round regularly and wipe down kitchen and bathrooms but everywhere could do with a deep clean.

    So far today
    WM 1, 2nd load sorted
    Bins emptied
Bed made and clothes picked up
Stoves reloaded and more pellets brought in

Off to swap washing in to TD and reload WM

    Have a nice day

I've also cleaned the oven door, wiped down half the surfaces, have the microwave plate soaking in a solution - I'm determined to completely remove those baked on brown marks.

Got distracted by the bathroom flooring that I don't like. Decided on the spur of the moment to take it up. Oh dear, currently in the middle of it, really hard work and so sticky. I'm going to have to go out and get a vinyl off cut to put down or we won't be able to use the bathroom.

  • Big.Hugs to Lame Wolf..it doesn't matter to me that you're lurking on Fred, just so ))pleased to see another familiar face now I have returned from exile.

Catch up from yesterday. Parcel returned, cheque banked, got a savings ISA reopened (got nothing to put in it mind.....but it's open) wandered in charity shop and got some knick knacks and school uniform (DD4 is growing up faster than I can keep in new clothes, age 7 and wearing size 2 shoes!)

TD loads number 5 and 6, sticker hunted in Mr C for tea, cooked, WUDUPA.

Today's flying.....assembled my undersink storage shelves while kids slept, washed up buckets that had my cleaning bits in after DW leaked into undersink area last week. I now have something resembling Narnia where I can find stuff. Took waaaay longer than expected, but very worthwhile.

Cats toilets 1 & 2 attended to. Danced with Shark in LR. Treated my Shark dust bucket to a wipe over inside and out, and a new smelly disc thing. Rubbish bag and recycling taken out.

Degibbled storage boxes of old kids drawings and letter from schools from years ago. Got one whole storage box worth of recycling gone, and a cereal packet worth of secure destruction to go through the shredder.

Spent some quality time with DFF6 (dear furry face no 6) my older gentleman cat, he likes peace and quiet, but was happy share my bacon fat at lunch and is currently sleeping it off.

I am going to have a quick 40 winks, so I can dig around in boxes later and find more junk and recycling.

    Until later
The cold never bothered me anyway
