Well I've not done any flying today as we've been out looking for clasps to join the ends of DS1's African bracelet that he has to make for his homework. Everywhere seemed to be all out of them, but eventually managed to get some lobster clasps in Hobbycraft. I now have a really bad headache which is threatening to turn into a migraine, but his homework is due in tomorrow so I need to crack on with youtube videos to see how to attach them.
Did get DH to chain our sheets yesterday, so that's one thing done, but I'm yet to wash them. Just realised that I've not washed DS1's school uniform so need to quickly go and put a wash on.
Hugs to all who need or would like them. xxEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Bathroom and downstairs loo cleaned, en-suite s&sd. The shine didn’t last long but I suppose at least I knew it was there at some point.
Random bits of the LR dusted when the sun shone briefly and showed up all the places that I’d obviously missed yesterday.
Taken DD out in the car for the first time. All things considering I think that I was remarkably restrained!
YL - Valli is right - you should be able to get a blue badge from the Council for your DS which might make the peripheral things that you don’t need in your life right now just one tiny bit less hassle.
Just having Marmalade Day Mark 2 as I was tempted by more Seville oranges in the market last week.
See you all on the new thread. Have lovely evenings all.0 -
Afternoon all...been a fairly chilled out day for me today. Have done a mountain of ironing, but I like that, so all school uniform and work shirts etc. ready for the morning.
Jazee - sorry your OH is being a pillock too. Hope he snaps out of it ASAP.
I managed to totally gut and clear the old playroom this weekend, which I'm very pleased about. Desk installed, computer moved from the middle room and crafting bits in and sorted. I've thrown away at least 6 full bin bags of tat and have given away useful stuff on my local sustainable FB site.
I'm also nearly at the point of finishing the dining room completely. I had hoped to be done by the end of January, but the cold weather has meant the linseed oil paint has taken a-g-e-s to dry on the windowsill, so not quite there yet. My friend's hubby is making me a slimline oak buffet table to go in there, so I need to get a few bits for that when it arrives and it will be done (except the shortening of the curtains, which I need to get a sewing machine to do). Only 4 years since we were flooded :exclamati
Supporting vibes to anyone who needs them - seems a lot of us are having trying times at the moment...0 -
