Pigpen, i was just wondering who the baby blanket is for....???
[Grabs coat and makes a dash for the door]
2 for the 2 people at OHs work (both done) and one for DD1 (1/4 done) and one I am knitting when in bed because I'm using up the stash.kazmeister wrote: »I wish I could knit to make things for my Grandbaby, I only craft stuff so he will be having lots of personalised bits and pieces
What colour would you like? I am very much in the market for destashing .. I will knit it and you can personalise it!
TY for Fred.. I've not been here all week.. not actually picked up my laptop all week if I'm honest and only here now to cancel a payment at the bank which I cannot do from the app. Anyway that is done.
I spent Thursday at DD1's sorting her bedroom.. binned 5 binbags of rubbish and dropped one at CS. moved a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and Jazzles cot into the boys bedroom.. so she has her own room for the first time since she moved out. I got her some curtains up in her bedroom too so she doesnt have to have a pile of rubbish against the window any more.
I did a quick whizz over the childrens rooms and got lots of pictures hung up on Grandpinks bedroom wall which made her very happy. We got Bedding changed and found all the baby bits for her to sort through and wash when she has time and drying space. She also has a box of stuff to wash and sell.
OH was commanded to clean the car as it was disgusting.
Kittens all went to be snipped/filleted on Wednesday so vet runs filled that day.
At home I am living in squalor. I just cannot fit anything in between school runs, appointments, phone calls and desperately trying to keep on top of the washing. I don't know about me helping DD1 I need someone to come help me! I am hoping that once Twinkle is in school in September I will be able to utilise the afternoons for getting the house habitable. I am aiming to get the hallway decorated once she is in school and once DS1 moves out I am clearing the middle room, repainting in there and getting it converted into an actual bedroom for one of the bigger ones.. Moomin wants it for herself and given she is clean and tidy I am considering it.
Today I am aiming to get a mountain of washing done, fold the stuff from the sofa in the back room and hopefully try to get that room back to some semblence or order.. it has a path through the middle to the kitchen at the moment and is not a functional room at all.
First of all.. feeding time for pinks, send someone to shop for milk and see if I can scrape some cash together from somewhere and pay 3 bills.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning all. Up early as apparently I was taking up all of the bed. My DH is also being an idiot so I'm not looking forward to today. Let's just say it's not easy being married to an alcoholic.

Hi all
Bathroom scrubbed with sonic scrubber and lots of bleach, bathroom floor washed, DHs month end accounts done, one duvet and 2 pillows squished into the vacuum bag under our bed, now going to type up some minutes from voluntary job. Keeping busy so I dont think about DS starting chemo again on Wednesday ...
My winter dressing gown has been thrown into a hot wash as it was very grubby and wearing it made me feel like I was some mad old lady who lives with 12 cats, never washes and never gets dressed unless she goes out. Well you get the idea, it seriously needed washing.
Jazee sending you hugs x
We had a plan to take DS to the coast for a trip out, he cant walk very far but we thought that with it being winter we could probably park on the sea front. It is raining so we are going to the cinema instead. Not entirely sure this is a great idea sitting in a cinema full of other people and their germs but we want to get him out for a bit.
Right, on with these minutes then a few bits of ironing to do.0 -

Got to love DS :heartsmil He went in to the kitchen and came back in to the living room squinting and pawing the air - blinded by the shine on the taps :rotfl:
Bleach didn't clean the sink to my standard so it got the white vinegar treatment too.
I'm finding that I don't want anything out on the work top once it's cleaned - just the essentials :T
DS has said I can fling all the unknown date sun potions and lotions. :T And the bag of out of date protein powder :T
Little by little we're moving forward :j

plus I have cleaned the filter on the TD
While walking the dog I saw lots of signs that spring is on the way! Snowdrops, crocuses, blossom... it makes me happy, but also a bit anxious as I haven’t got anything ready for the garden or the allotment! And we still have a greenhouse to build
I need to start dinner, but I am waiting for DH & DS to get back to check they are ok with chilli. Maybe I should text them......
Ok - I think I have earned a cuppa, and maybe I will do some admin for my new starters on Friday. Oh, and the bed needs making. If I leave the bedding on the bed DH will probably do it0 -
YL - can you claim for (even if only temporary) a disabled badge for the car? Ask Marie Curie/MacMillan if you can and are strong enough.
Kitchen clean; dinner made. Went to Morries with DD (her birthday was Weds) to choose/buy pie for meal but also got two little S&K pies and 2 fillet steaks YS. And a Roary the Lion cake (DD's choice).
