  • Oooooo what books are you reading? I love a good book!

I can’t believe I’ve just spent 20 mins cleaning the really fiddly but just under the plug hole in the kitchen sink with a piece of wire and kitchen roll........it doesn’t smell now anyway.
    Done the kitchen windowsill.....
Refereed a squabble between 2 of the dogs over a toy which squeak has gone squat.....eldest dog joined in by woofing at idiot dog.....and just decluttered a chocolate doughnut. I can feel the arteries hardening already!

  • Hi all

Natty you already do a lot for your Mum in law (that not everyone would do so willingly) and it sounds like your brother in law is just an extra complication that you dont need.

Ah Round glad you got have got a kind of answer to the radio problem, being anxious means it is hard to be even a tiny bit assertive but sometimes its the only way. Hope its less of a problem when the office is busy.

Dizzy can understand why you dont want to move after everything you have been through there and it wont be easy to find another place where you can run your business. In fact it seems a bit unfair to expect you to make such a sacrifice for DHs job, its not an impossible commute if he really wants to do it.

Busy day, went to the gym, home to pick DS up to take him to visit a friend, food shopping done, food cupboard cleared out and tidied, washing out and finished off in drier, fridge scrubbed out. Very tired, hoping this is just a reaction to four out of the last five days visiting hospital with DS and trying to keep on top of work, and not my thyroid playing up!

    Feet up now.

Wow Weekend Willi has been very busy Round x

YL fingers crossed it is just your busy week making you tired x

    LW thinking of you xx

Saturdays = dancing school duty. My shoulder is playing up (arthritis combined with a bit of regular fisticuffs).
I popped upstairs to change out of Lycra after lunch and had an impromptu nap until 4.30pm whoops.

DH is ironing at the moment :)

Our new family game arrived today ring fit. DS2 had a go and had to change clothes afterwards as it was an excellent workout. We were exhausted just watching. My name’s down to have a go later but not sure how I will do with my shoulder.

Evening ladies, i've been busy today in the kitchen re-organising so I can put everything away instead of it living on the draining board, thrown out the dish drainer as it was disgusting, sorted out some of the cutlery drawer but need to do it fully, a task for next week. Tomorrow i'm going to re-locate all the boxes from behind the sofa to upstairs as its mostly my craft stuff and 6 months supply of coffee beans, haha.

Dizzy, I've not been here long so don't really know you or your situation fully, perhaps a compromise is for your OH to stay away during the week and come home at weekends, the pay increase will easily pay for a that and it saves on commuting, just another option. Hope you find a solution that makes you both happy :)

    re venting/letting off steam etc

It's been said before (on this thread) but - whatever YOU are going through is BIG and IT MATTERS. Even if someone else is worse off - your burden needs carrying an this thread has strong shoulders. So vent/offload/rant/rave. You helped me through my worse time more than you'll ever know.

And, sometimes, writing it down helps.

    Well said Valli!

Haven't achieved much today :o Parkrun this morning - with legs that felt like lead for some reason! Back home for a shower then brunch, and to put a wash on. A quick vac in the LR and then washing up last night's pots :o before a visit from a new family wanting care for 2 children from this coming week (Friday's only - most of my childminding colleagues don't do Fridays, so I pick up those days!) Signing contracts, etc. takes FOREVER! Then popped to my Mum's to take her for a little ride out in my new car. She wanted to go to the garden centre and treated me to cake :T:)

DH is being a grumpy old git  He threw his toys out of the pram last night (I'm not really sure why!) and is still sulking! I hope he snaps out of it tomorrow!!

Tomorrow I promise to do better :o I need to empty the compost bin and do some more shredding, as well as cleaning the bathroom, kitchen and everything else!!

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. Nighty night all!

Took Rosie for her walk this afternoon
    DH came home
    Cooked tea

Other than that, I have spent all of today preparing for tomorrow's work. The printer has been working overtime.

    See you tomorrow. Sweet dreams!
