i posted the SAR query related to my case on my thread - should i have done this on to the CST Law page?

I think the first sentence there means "OP, please do not post any updates here unless you get an actual court claim". Why do you think it means anything else?

I think the second sentence says that "any responses from now on should be on the CST Law group thread, not here". Again, how have you read anything different?
