Ethics of selling Live 8 tickets for profit

heh, check out the high bidder on some of the tickets, theres a lot of auction wreckers out there
as for morality, DAMN RIGHT, they should sell them on ebay for personal profit, However, doing the right thing they should have to commit at least 10% of the profits to charity, i'm a stingy b@stard, but i'd make sure i did that if i won somemoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

"It is filthy money made on the back of the poorest people on the planet. Stick it where it belongs
Bob Geldof "
Funny that on the same day you get this story.
Bob Geldof has been threatened with legal action by ex-members of his old band the Boomtown Rats over alleged unpaid royalties.

Ebay have just said on the news that they are removing all Live8 tickets from sale0
-
If they do its a cop out. The rules are there and should be stuck to.0
-
On news now Ebay are pulling the sale of these tickets. Great news. I hope the profiteers are ashamed of themselves.

I just hope that ebay do the right thing here and remove the listings *without* putting a warning on the sellers account. I for one would be angry if I had listed these tickets when it was allowed by ebay only to have them pulled later when the rules changed.

To eBay UK:Today my household have made it very clear to me that my decision to win items on eBay.co.uk was not one that the vast majority of my household agreed with. As a result of this clear signal from my household I have decided to prohibit my payment for these items on the site.
As I am following in the footsteps on your MD, Doug McCallum, by waiting twenty-four hours before changing my mind, I expect not to receive any NPB strikes.古池や蛙飛込む水の音0 -
The problem with selling the tickets on EBay is that Bob doesn't want you to do it because Bob isn't getting any attention or publicity from the sales.
By calling a press conference and having a stab at EBay, Bob hopes to get more free publicity for himself.
Sometimes I wonder if Bob thinks he is God. Bob's actually invited the Pope, Nelson Mandela, and Dalai Lama, and is shaking a big stick at world leaders. Bob's ego seems to be bigger than Africa itself.0 -
shure, Bob has got loads of publicity today. And Ebay
so everyone is a winner except a poor student who wanted to finance his studies by selling tickets
