However, since the sale of Live 8 tickets are now specifically allowed on ebay these scam busters may find their throw away accounts suddenly get thrown away by ebay.

Just noticed a lot of fake bidders have been Naru'd. Funny how Ebay can act fast when it suits them, yet the sammers are still live!!

Oh, it wasn't worth watching really. Sir Bob says people selling live 8 tickets are disgusting and ebay are disgusting for allowing it.

Oh, he just told ebay to stick their money where it belongs and Sir Bob is going to call the owner of ebay this afternoon...fight fight.

So having got around 600quid per ticket from the text line, he is now turning down money from ebay which could further help those starving children. Rediculous.

I'm getting annoyed by Geldof, the whole thing is pointless because it's money they need, not awareness. Everyone knew about it before and the finance ministers reached a deal. Geldof should stop hyping and exaggerating everything. He's doing more of that than the politicians who will be / have been reaching the deals.

Oops!! seems as tho one of the ebayer's heart is in the right place at least, see what they added to theyre sale description, good going

On 14-Jun-05 at 09:38:35 BST, seller added the following information:

I have been getting questions asking if the money will go to charity so I wish to clarify what I intend to do. The winning bidder will get their invoice as soon as the auction ends. In the "NOTES" section of the invoice the winner will then be asked to pick a charity from a list of 3. These are:

    1) The Alzheimer’s Society

    2) BLISS

    3) The Heart Foundation

As you will notice Live 8 is NOT here and I wish to donate money to a cause that is close to me and where I can see a difference. If you wish to give to Live 8 please inform me along with a selection from above so that a proportion can go to Live 8. I hope this helps

I think it is morally wrong to sell these tickets, these tickets are only to pay towards the running costs of the venue's and not to raise money. The whole live8 is about raising the awareness of poverty and to send a clear message to the G8 countries that poverty is wrong. Selling these tickets at vast inflated prices goes against the principles of live8 and only re-enforces the greed that some people have.

I hope the people who are selling these have a conscience.:(

No pun unless I am missing something. Its an expression of someone is taking the pi** with the over inflated prices. Obviously some people are bidding to prevent a sale as they have no intention of purchasing them.
