And how many of the artists are of african origin eh? Its another case of the west telling the developing world how to do things, and of course all the artists do it out of the goodness of their own hearts ...yeah right!
I've raised this point twice on other topics. The US concert has several black artists, but in the UK who do we get, Mariah Carey. None of the excellent black talent from the UK will be showcased at Live 8. But, hey its not about them, its about awarenss of African poverty. Well if we are talking about awareness of African poverty why isn't Bob and co. highlighting the excesses of the rich African heads of state?"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -

Is this not about putting bums on seats?
Q1. What "excellent black talent from the UK" do we have that will create the level of demand (and income) the Live 8 artists are creating?
Q2. What has this "excellent black talent from the UK" done so far to raise awareness of "African poverty"
Q3. If we have Black music stations, why don't we have White music stations? The MSE Dictionary

Why dont they try and get some of those black "gangster" type rappers involved. Would be nice to see people rapping about "putting a cap in yo !!!!!!" and boasting about all their flash cars/mansions/women etc.. to help raise money for starving black kids in africa who have nothing.
Might make them stop and think.0 -

Assuming that that type of artist can think...................."Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Booker T. Washington

burbs, People in poorer countries have babies to continue to care for families. If babies weren't conceived, there would be no one to care for elders/disabled peeps etc.
They have many babies, as the mortality rate is very high, and more babies means more chance of surviving family.
Not to mention the fact that these countries are not as 'advanced' as the west. Whilst we think nothing of using birth control, it is not considered in all parts of the world.
And please remember that whilst we think African nations live with perpetual drought/civil war, as the news seems to be full of it, Africa is a vast continent. When we hear of atrocities and natural disaster, we talk about Africa, but we should know it is individyal countries/regions.
Therefore, when the babies we see dying, were conceived, the parents weren't living in a refugee camp, they were in their home, living their lives when disaster struck.
Let's have a little more compassion for a fellow man. We all have a right to life, and thjose with plenty (I am not referring to individuals here), should help those with less.
Let's support Live8 and hope the G8 conference will not squander huge amounts on pandering polituicians ego's, but will really start to work out straytegies to help the world function for the benefit of all.
I also can't see the problem with selling tickets on ebay to someone who wants to go but didnt win, but if you dont want to go, why would you enter?I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

The post you reference did not in any way shape or form claim, or imply that all black artists were gangster type rappers.
The post clearly stated "some of those black "gangster" type rappers"
Had the post stated "some of those black artists" and then gone on to discuss rapping about "putting a cap in yo !!!!!!" and boasting about their flash cars/mansions/women, then yes, that might have implied that all black artists were "gangster" type rappers. This however, was not the case, and to claim otherwise is foolish. The MSE Dictionary

How thick are the people who bought the question that has been advertised on every major media in the whole of the world. Also his feedback score was low before the auction started, is a few quick bucks worth the hassle?0 -
