Perhaps then I would be expecting a gesture of goodwill and a real apology.
So am I correct in thinking that a surveyor should be supplied by the RM to ensure the damage is repaired. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I think at least £1 million in compensation is in order. If you cried a little, then £2 million.0

Also can I add to this story a key element I have missed out which is why I'm angry about the situation.
The driver drove off and left no details. I found a piece of his van on my driveway and red paint on the floor and did my detective work.
I think the disrespect is what's upset me.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Al fixed, I don't see what the problem is or what it is you want from Royal Mail who have apologised, accidents happen daily.
Someone wrote off my car a few years, just parked outside my house the only payout I had was the value of the vehicle - I didn't have any goodwill gesture etc!0 -
Always amuses me when people come on regarding being distressed and wanting compo for hurt feeling etc........vast majority are from new members;)0

Royal Mail's insurers would likely warn them against any kind of apology.
I would ask Taylor Wimpey about the work and guarantee since they did the work. I don't think you can expect Royal Mail to come and inspect someone else's.MSE aim: more thanks than posts :j0 -
