Tandem Cashback ending 9th March

their FAQ says they don't convert to journey.
also, if you leave tandem, you can't rejoin. they're really trying to push you to making a decision to stay.
Called Tandem and the rep said that their systems can't manage the switch of account from Reward Card to Journey Card. Very puzzling. It seems for me that I will need to apply for a Halifax Clarity or Santander Zero for overseas and an AMEX and maybe an Aqua Rewards (or just possibly Amazon mastercard) for UK usage. What a lot of complication from todays announcement...0 -

I've asked Tandem support if my card can be converted to the "Journey credit card" as would still be useful for fee-free overseas spending, or at least as a backup card.
Just got a reply from Tandem. They said that it's not possible to transfer from a Cashback card to Journey card, but they will pass my feedback to the product team for future consideration.

I guess a few of us received this today. I'm not sure how they made any money from their customers but they have obviously decided that that no longer want any customers.
Thanks Tandem. It's a shame, but goodbye.0 -

Thanks, I wasn't aware of ths. Is yours the legacy High-5 cashback card that got "simplified" to 0.5% cashback a few years ago?
Do you have a link for which retailiers they claim are always personal transactions? I've had a quick google and cannot find anything obvious0 -

Update.. I've completed my contingency planning. American Express Platinum Everyday for UK spend and Santander Zero for overseas spend. Goodbye to Tandem from March 9th.0
