exhibits are your initials and a number , so Chef Dave is CD/01 , not EXHIBIT A

read other recent witness statements on here because yours is very sparse with hardly any exhibits at all

Why should the court consider "the doctrine of promissory estoppel"?
I did look it up before posting the draft WS but was still none the wiser so decided to leave it in.
Having looked it up again maybe it's not relevant as there are two different parties involved - the guesthouse I stayed at and the guesthouse who's parking company are pursuing the litigation

I can only search the forum same as you

and your WS overleaf says DEFENCE in your opening gambit , but your DEFENCE was submitted a few months ago, this is your WS + exhibits + summary costs assessment , the latter being one of your exhibits , as part of your WITNESS STATEMENT (not defence)

perhaps look for cases that have been successfully completed in the last 12 months , where we added a well known song title by QUEEN in our congrats , AOBTD is a hint

The doctrine of promissory estoppel, in it's simplest terms means that if someone promises you something you are can rely upon it.

So in your example, if the B&B owner had pointed out to you the particular parking space, you are entitled to believe what they are saying.

Yes well spotted regarding my use of the word defence instead of ws I did catch myself on another occasion and correct it before posting but that one slipped though.

Thanks I'll have a look for the AOBTD thread

OK I'll do that and post another draft defence WS if that's OK. Thanks once again for all your help!
