The doctrine of promissory estoppel, in it's simplest terms means that if someone promises you something you are can rely upon it.
So in your example, if the B&B owner had pointed out to you the particular parking space, you are entitled to believe what they are saying.3 -

there isnt just one , there are dozens of winners where that catchphrase was used in our replies to the OP winning their cases , it probably appears a few dozen times, in every winning court case on here over the last 12 monthsits not an AOBTD thread, its all the court case threads where myself , coupon mad and others added that catchphraseduh duh duh , AOBTD , use the keywords to search on here and via google search for MSE , get creative , but do not use that acronym of AOBTD , it wont work , its a hint !! gettit ?0
