Just read your post re takeaway and just had to post to say I totally agree! We have a lovely cream rug in living room and whenever OH and I have a takeaway, its at the table. I do tend to sulk and whinge its not the same, you wouldn't think I was 26!

Recovered from the chocolate?? I have a real addiction to it at the minute. Infact I would say it was better if I didn't leave the flat as if I go past a shop I just know I would sneak in and grab one. Now that's bad!!

hi skye. ummm, it isnt the same is it - surely the point of a takeaway is to slob in front of the tv with it. But then, I know how many curry stains our old carpet had!

Morning SI - yep, feeling guilty this morning as I had 2 glasses of wine and said galaxy bar last night. Not exactly being strict with this diet thing! Evenings r definitely my downfall - during the day I'm very good - just had my muesli in fact - but under the cover of darkness Im like a woman possessed!

Hoping to cover the goals from yesterday that didnt get covered, today IWKWIM.

    SO...

    change boys beds
    exercise dvd!!
    more work

and lots of work done, a no spend day and no alcohol! I feel a bit sick actually. made a pasta arrabiatta for tea and I think the chilli in it has disagreed with me. That was a v cheap meal though - pasta, toms, red pepper, a chilli and a garlic ciabatta. Cant have cost more that £2.50 for the 4 of us - bargain. Have decided to intersperse our meals with cheapie days ie beans on toast, etc - and dale will just have to lump it. I've been cooking more vegetarian meals to save on meat and be abit healthier (although I use alot of cheese!) and he doesnt like it much. I've told him he can have a 'red' day tomo!

ps I try to only buy organic meat so I'd rather have organic meat a couple of times a week then cheap meat every day. Dale may disagree thou - although when I triend value mince he did nothing but complain about grissle bleugh

I agree with the organic thing. Whenever I made chicken casserole, roast on sunday etc, my OH was like oh this is lovely. The other night made it with organic chicken and he couldn't stop raving about it and was there any left! Unfortunately he is a traditional meat for every dinner kind of man but I am trying to get him to try veggie options.....

dale normally likes meat with everything but I think he's feeling a bit porkie so the fact that its healthier to have some veggies meals is helping him get over it. He really liked the risotto I made yesterday - again, a really cheap meal just rice, stock, a slug of white wine, parmesan and chuck some veg in there.

I know organics not very money saving, and a while back i did try buying everything value etc but it just makes me feel better getting organic for the kids (and myself too!)

dales gone out to watch footie with a mate so I think I'm going to take full advantage and use my time wisely - americas next top model episodes all backed up on sky plus - here I come...

Lol, whenever my OH (Col) goes out with his mates, I'm like yes! tv control is mine!! Love Americas Next Top Model, just to see how !!!!!y it can get.

We have col's ds for weekends and holidays and I am obsessed with making him eat all healthy food. Thankfully he's not keen on fizzy drinks or chocolate. Very odd........

me too - I'm abit obsessed with the tele - I used to work in tv so I had an excuse then - although ironically I was too busy working to watch much! We recently had a new carpet fitted and we were without sky for a whole evening - I had to go a neighbours house lol! (serious, i did, but D was wallowing in the bath and we had no sofa to sit on either - and the neighbour is my best mate so not that bad when explained!)

my two love chocolate - but then so do I .We let them have a treat after dinner - if they've eaten it all with is a very rare occassion with todd as he eats like a baby bird! gave him a treat tonight only to discover most of his pasta on the floor - sneaky little thing! He doesnt like fizzy drinks thou - not that we let them have it but both sets of grandparents are a nightmare and have very 'old school' views ie they raise kids on cherryaid, finders crispy pancakes and midget gems - but todd says fizzy drinks are 'disgusting' ooh err - only the finest organic apple juice then coming up sir!!

ps how old is your stepson?
