No worries ref your replies. I find it is always helpful to consider what people have said, and then use or discard as required.

WOOHOO about the results. I bet you are SO relieved. And just this once I think a celebratory curry is deserved

thanks guys - yep definitely a weight off. Have been trying to talk to dale about having another baby and he just doesnt seem to think there's anything to talk about. he just says, its up to me and whatever i decide is fine. which is great, but i feel i need to just talk it all out and get my head straight. I just want to be sure.

just spent £160 on a big shop - its a lot but i needed to fill the cupboards and freezer and I'm hoping there's enough 'stores' for the next month. Prob have to do little topups in 2 and 3 weeks but fingers crossed.

Also spent £30 in argos on a curtain pole and duvet for our bedroom 'revamp'. Am slowely working my way through the house and am sooo proud of myself. On fri I completeyl gutted the kitchen and cleaned the walls, skirting boards, sorted the cupboards all the things you need to do once in a while for a deep clean. Phew!

Rewarded myself with a couple of glasses of wine but am not being strict with myself as its the weekend - you need something to spur you on throu the week! In fact, I just made a big choc cake with the boys that is cooling and we're gonna ice after they've done their homework - then its upstairs with the hoover for me. Dont think I need to bother with the dvd - all this cleaning has to be burning some calories!

    Hi Roxie,

Good to see you back posting!

Congratulations on the results, that's great news. Hope you enjoyed the curry...my fav takeaway too. Love them!

I am sure you will make a decision re baby, it sounds to me as if you already know the answer - that you do want another - but are just looking now at all the practical sides of things. These things always have ways of working themselves out.

I think I need to take a leaf out of your book and get cleaning, our kitchen needs as you put it a 'deep clean' but just can't get the energy to do it!

Hope you manage to make the big shop last, I am sure you will. I think you are doing great, you are certainly thinking more about what you spend before you spend it etc and working on your budget thats always good in my book as I bet before (like me) you probably didn't think much before you spent.

Anyhow, will stop yapping. Hope you are having a good weekend :-)

hi sorting it - thanks for saying hi. yes, i think we have decided yes to baby but the practicalities are putting me off. Then i think, if you thought about practicalities then noone would ever have kids!

I think the big shop will last a while as I've menu planned for 2 weeks and then have stacks of extra pasta etc on top. Will just need to top up fresh stuff.

Think we're gonna take the boys to a play centre of somewhere where I can sit and have a good think through.

    Good morning!

You inspired me to 'deep clean' the oven is settling with the oven cleaner as we speak...now see what you have done! Just kidding.

I agree totally, if we always think about practicalities then nothing would ever get done. It's the same with me and OH, although it will be a while before we have kids he has said that we don't have to wait until my DMP finishes (which is what I was thinking) and said that we will manage the best way we can. Thankfully he is very supportive! Turning 30 this year and I don't want to leave it until 35 (when dmp likely to finish) before having baby. Must say we have had a baby arrive at least once a month since last september and it is lovely, do get a bit clucky now and again but I know my time will come. I want to sort myself a little more financially first and get back the money off of those that still owe me - long story!!

I hope you and the family enjoy the day out. I think it's great how much you guys do with your boys. Happy thinking time :-)

you'll feel better once its done! although i had to bribe myself with wine to get throu it!

it is strange that i'm thinking ALOT more about it the I ever did before. As I;'ve said, we had coby at uni surviving on student loans because as students we werent entitled to any benefits apart from child benefit! So I think our income was around £7000 a year (all being paid back to SLC to this day!). And I honestly cant remember worrying about anything. i just thought it would be alright and it was. I guess its more the fact of our life with the boys changing - but then, its only for the first few years and then little baba will be able to run around with them (if they'll let him!)

Ahhh I know - its soooo satisfying. We (well I say we....) just gave the bedroom a good going over, dusting, hoovering under bed etc and put up our new curtains and lovely new bedding. So its lovely and fresh and I cant wait for bed tonight to snuggle under our new duvet mmmmnnnnn. Dont think the house has ever been so clean - although I havent tackled the ironing mountain and I draw the line at the oven. I'm sure I did it last year so it'll do for a good while yet lol!

Just made the lushest chicken dinner and am sat with a glass of wine feeling very full and satisfied. Boys are still at the table - of course. It takes them about 2 hours to finish a meal whereas I always eat with the speed of a famine victim - comes from being from a poor family me thinks!
