morning all! going off for a contact lense check now - my eyes have been really sensitive and bloodshot recently so i've been wearing my glasses a lot - which is annoying as i'm on a monthly contact lense plan! at least the eye checks are included so i dont have to pay for that.
then we're off on a christmas tree hunt - getting a real one this year for a change - i'm not willing to pay more than £30 for one though.
kids are excited (and me too!) cos the decorations are going up and they've had their first calender choccies - aaah christmas - i love it!!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

apparently i'm allergic to the solution - so they've given me another at an extra £2 a month! so annoying - i'm tied into the plan for a year so i cant jump ship and order online which sucks.
KIDS!!! as I've noted, i've already done all the kids xmas shopping this year. But now they've both done their xmas lists with only one thing on them - a transformer!! I had a quick look and they're £15 - £50! typical that the one thing they want I haven't got them. I've no doubt its because the advert is on tv all the time!
i really dont want to buy them anything else so I'm gonna have a little word in mother in laws ear! if not they'll have to go without.....ouch. it sounds bad like i'm a horribly spoiling mum but i cant bear the thought of them not getting the ONE thing they've asked for this year. i know, i know - they'll live. still, the thought is a tiny bit painful to me. see what mum in law says and if not, try to be STRONG!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Oh dear oh dear......
Bought a xmas tree £26 but also needed to buy a stand which was £25 also. eeek! it is a very nice tree thouand i wont have to buy a stand ever again - i hope!! Erm, what bit of the budget shall i take that out of??
Then, spent £76 at tesco. bought enough food for the next week but, also, in trying to cut down on eating out, we've got friends coming round tonight (they're bringing the food) so we bought a bottle of wine and a crate of beer. we also needed to stock up on loo roll and get some tree lights. without the alcohol we would have been under £50. The beer will last over xmas I hope (the wine will last 5 minutes!). i could stretch the food out to 9 days if i throw in a beans on toast!! But its scary how quickly my grocery budget is disappearing  that was all cheapy meals and no treats apart from some gingerbread men for the kids.
put the tree and the decs up - feeling very festive now! and looking forward to a dinner that someone else has made.
have a good first weekend in december everyone!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

ok, squeezing the stand under 'household maintainance' - well it is - kind of. in a way. ish.
but the £26 for a tree will have to go under family fun - booooo!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

oh dear oh double dear. you know the beers that were to last 'all xmas'? well, there are two left. my head hurts!
on a positive note - have got some things finishing on ebay today. am counting some of it towards the £10 a day challenge but the shoes that i'm reluctantly getting rid of (although there all variously too big, too small, uncomfortable and dont get worn) are going into my january sales spree fund (well, mini spree!).
also - staying in today doing various things with the kids (letters to santa, stories, puzzles. so far at the minute they're playing games separately - they dont really understand that it might be more fun to play together taking turns with each game - but hey, they're occupied for five mins while i update!). enjoying our lovely tree and having a no spend day. very disapointed that its the 2nd of dec and there are no xmas movies on tv yet thou!
the weekends nearly over and we haven't eaten out once!!!! :j :T
one weekend down, 3 to go!
am making a yummy chicken pot pie today - a bit of a treat but hey, it's the weekend!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Evening all
Great day today.
No spend day and good ebay day.
Made £27.20 on 3 bits and bobs on ebay (although very disappointed that a lovely mamas and papas rocking lion that cost £60 only went for £1.40  )
Also made £27.85 ebaying shoes which will go towards my little jan sales spree. Dale says if I come home with new shoes he'll kill me!!
Also, eager learner very kindly emailed me her daily clicks guide which i intend to do for hubby and me every day. If I keep this up I should earn £50 from those this month. Earned an extra £10 for signing up to moneybackmadness - but will count that when I cash it in (need to get to £35.)
Really rocking the £10 a day challenge - love it! total today £76.20 / £300. :j
ps any ideas on how to make a star costume for coby would be appreciated!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Morning all!!!
Stealing from other diaries I'm gonna list a weekly to do to keep me on track generally.
So...to do this week-
1) start a proper daily clicks routine tomo (dales printing the sheet out at work today)
2) cancel barclaycard and bmi baby card (only opened them for the freebies)
3) cross the eyes and dot the tees of a tv drama i've been writing and send off to channels in the hope they'll commission it!
4) my ironing :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Also, need to order the photobooks for parents for parents for xmas but am waiting for a reply from quidco as to how to order through them. It doesn't make sense at the minute so waiting cos its 25% cashback which works out at about £50.MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Morning Roxie!
Have just read through your diary - you're doing so well!
Ugh, good luck with the ironing. It's my most hated household task.0 -
Hi Alex- thanks for popping in!
I have to admit I'm guilty of putting off, putting off and putting off. The result is now a clothes mountain - no joke!
Gonna do it when todds at nursery whilst catching up on my soaps. sweeten the pill a little with coronation street!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j
