    Hi people!

Well, did SOME ironing (the mountain is now a small mountain) and finished my script yey!!! thats all ready to send off so fingers crossed!

apart from that i haven't earnt anything today ( gonna do my clicks later if i can motivate myself).

on the plus side i also haven't spent anything today either! the fridge and cupboards are well stocked and all is on track (s'only monday but hey - stay positive!)

dale phoned muminlaw re transformers issue and she's bought them something that they already have so she's gonna take that back and try to get them a transformer - yey. muminlaw to the rescue.

    tomorrow am gonna

    1) finish ironing!!!
    2) envirophone my old phone (only worth £7 but hey, every little helps!)
    3) do my clicks
    4) not spend anything!!
    5) count out the coppers and bank them - might do that now actually as the curiosity is too much!

right now im gonna snuggle down with a nice cup of tea - my back is killing me tonight - its the ironing, i'm allergic!

I have sympathy re the bad back from ironing - luckily my husband loves it so I don't have to iron often. My back has never been the same since having my babies.

Hi Roxie, You seem to be doing well - pity about the beers, but I hope you enjoyed them1 still cheaper than eating out though!!
Unfortunately I'm off to iron in a few minutes too.
My new resolution is not to iron absolutely everything which should save on electricity too!!
OH says you get a crinkley bottom if you don't iron underwear!!
don't think it would make much difference to mine!!
I find beer makes the ironing go quicker too.
    Will check in later

hi spendalot and pippo!! nice to see you.

spendalot - me too re the back. i had pubic symphasis (or whatever its called) with my two and with my second i couldn't walk from being about 2 months gone. it was awful. funny story to that though - i used to take my oldest to a playgroup at a church and when i was at my worst the lady who ran it did prayers for me at the prayer group - no lie it started to improve dramatically from then when the drs had told me it was only going to get worse and i'd have to have a c section. i could walk (with a stick - sexy at 23 I know!) and gave birth naturally. now i wasn't religious but that did make me look up to the sky and wonder!

hate hate hate the ironing! unfortunately my hubby refuses to iron point blank - he's never even picked up the iron! he'll do other stuff (under sufference) but not ironing.

pip - yeah, cheaper than eating out - true. the crate cost less than 1 round in the pub too so hey, not all bad!

counted up the copper jar and we have the grand total of £22 in there - woohoo! gonna bank it tomorrow so need to update my £10 a day challenge total to £98.20!! yey me!

BTW - we've been invited to one of dales friends xmas party. they hjis football mates who i've never met and the party is fancy dress. it would be quite nice to have a night out but it means taxi, babysitter, fancy dress outfit and the whole shebang. dale says his mates really want to meet me only i'm not sure if i want them to cos i'm feeling really down about my weight recently (she says, eating chocolate orange). part of me thinks lets not go cos a) save money and b) save face. truth is i dont want to go to a fancy dress party where they'll be lots of thin girls in sexy costumes. plus - the theme is something with the same initial as your name. so i'll be amongst cheerleaders, sexy santas, probably the odd school girl or naughty nurse - in....all i can think of.....a rudolf outfit. either that or i'll copy a mate who came to a party as a bottle of beer and be a bottle of red wine!!

anyway, rant over. sure i'll make up my mind....

gonna get a nice cuppa ( to warm my hands) and do my clicks. am gonna try not to have the heating on when the kids arent in from now on. sat here in dales big grey jumper - i look like a moomin (only they're white not grey - maybe a real life hippo then).

forgot to mention - received a 'save the date' and accommodation list for some friends of ours wedding next sept. was naughty and booked the nice accommodation at £200 (min two night stay). looking upon it thou as a lovely minibreak for me and dale - and they'll be free food, drink and transport so its not so bad. it'll be lovely to have a 'grown ups' weekend just for us.

its expensive but i'm looking forward to it. plus when we got married in april i hated people moaning about how expensive it was to stay in a hotel/buy an outfit etc - i wanted to scream 'try finding £14k to pay for you lot to eat drink and look at pretty floral arrangements!!!

    Hi Roxie,
I personally think the wedding thing is fine:j
Yep I know if all the guests just gave the going to the 'do' and staying over money ,couples may have a leg up on the property ladder... as they would do if they didn't fork out for the reception etc.

Recently went to a cousin's son's wedding... stuck in traffic on the way and oh doing the Oh F*** it routine... but had a great time and cousin & her son so happy to see us it was all so very worthwhile.
I think we still need special events and celebrations or what?? Life goes on and we save money,,,,,, what's the fun in that??

It's all about keeping it in perspective.
