Evening.
Horrendous week at work which has caused my anxiety to flare up again, trying to keep it under control by being mindful but to be honest its been a struggle. Also didn't help that washer was playing up managed to get someone out to fix it but cost £40.
Managed to limp to the end of January, made £20 from ebay throughout the week and received a £5 prepaid card from a survey site which went straight onto Ds lunch account.
Payday yesterday and there was £80 extra from overtime so just put that straight into the holiday pot. Topped up kids lunch accounts, petrol in my car and did a food shop, also paid £150 off CC so account looked nice and healthy for about 5 minutes.
Today has been a quiet day, took the dog on a lovely long walk (2 hours) to try and blow some cobwebs away and settle my mind, made spicy carrot and parsnip soup and a chocolate cake.
M&S sent me an online voucher for £5 off a £25 spend when ordering food online, so have a ordered DD a birthday cake and paid for the rest with a gift card I had so has cost me nothing.
Today i'm thankful for my dog and the joy she brings, i'm grateful for the person who asked me how I was and listened.
Have a great weekend xx2 -
Well this is interesting, not sure if I like the new layout and finding it all a bit of a faff:(
Much better week at work and feeling happier in myself, couple of hours overtime this week and more next, just next week to go and then a lovely week off.
Grocery shop yesterday, really starting to notice a different since I started shopping at lidl, I stock up on weekly offers that we use and really starting to notice a difference in the amount we are spending, so this week I stocked up on apples which keep really well in a cool dark place, chicken, bacon and fruit juice and these should last several weeks. Spent £44 in lidl and £26 in Sainsburys after using a £4 off voucher, also received 150 nectar points, redeemed £3.35 from shopimum and £5.85 from greenjinn, so knocked a £30 shop down to £16.80.
Spent the morning cooking a chicken broth and HM bread which we had for lunch, have a plain sponge cooling which I will turn into a Victoria sandwich cake.
Ebay very slow this week, have some bits to list but that's a job for tomorrow and still plodding on with surveys.
hOff to have a mooch and try to fathum out this new site, have a great weekend xx

Morning.
Another busy week has flown by. more overtime at work for which I an very grateful for at the moment as DH car has died and has had to be replaced, so lots of scraping together from various pots. Weather has been horrendous and roads and fields flooded and has made life quite difficult on occasions.
DD has had a lovely birthday, we got her a block of driving lessons and she has first one tomorrow which is a scary prospect, we also went out for Chinese at her request with family. So all in all it has been a very expensive week.
Grocery spends this week I have kept down to £39, as I am off this week decided it was the perfect opportunity to eat out of the freezer and cupboards, made soup yesterday and banana muffins which will do for todays lunch as well, made cauliflower cheese to go with pork chops last night and there is still quite a lot left, so tonight it's toad in the hole, cauli cheese and mash for tea. need to get chicken and bread out of freezer for tomorrow.
Half term week and decided its just going to be a pottering at home catching up on jobs and not spending any money what so ever, well except for the £120 I sent to the CC this morning, I am now skinter than a skint thing but i'm thankful for warm fires, Netflix and bulging freezers.
Have a great week xx

Sorry to hear about dh car needing replacing, hope the new one is reliable for him. Wow how did dd get to be old enough for driving lessons, glad she had a lovely birthday!
Hope you're enjoying the half term so far, warm fires and films sound good.

Enjoy your time off. Lovely to get time to potter and chill 😀I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Well DD came back smiling from her driving lesson, she said she only stalled it twice but got going again, she has booked more lessons to fit in with her sixth form frees and can be picked up and dropped back off at school.
Awful nights sleep for me, lots of things whizzing in my head, why does everything seem much worse at 3 in the morning, I'm panicking a bit because with a multitude of items breaking including DH car we have spent all our emergency fund and it doesn't sit well with me, I know we are lucky that we had the money there and didn't have to resort to CC. Just need to build the pot back up.
Claimed a £5 M&S voucher and £15 from survey sites this morning and redeemed £2.35 from greenjinn, also made £14 on ebay as well.
Off to visit grandma shortly, hoping the weather stays fine xx

Visit to grandma went quite smoothly, DH fixed her hoover, I sorted her radio out as brother had switched stations and she couldn't work out how to get it back.
Came home with a loaf of seeded bread, pack of crackers and choc chip cookies.
Decided to make a carbonara for tea tonight as have mushrooms and cream that need using up, will use chicken in a curry for tomorrow nights tea, taken a fruit loaf out of the freezer to snack on.
And its been a NSD.

Sorry to hear about the car. Hope you enjoy your pottering week.
The middle of the night is always worst for worrying. I find listening to audiobooks good for distracting me and helping me get back to sleep."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney3
